Sounds like positive news Rick. With him feeling better, now is the most difficult time as far as the healing process as he will want to do everything he normally did. It will be a tough for another month or two. Having said that he is in great hands.

Hey Rich, Ben ( our yellow lab in my avatar) had ACL/MCL reconstruction 18 months ago. Once he had healed somewhat the best thing that we did for him was Hydrotherapy. Ask your vet if there is a canine or equine pool near to you. Ben was nine at the time and his recovery has been terrific. It is something that also helps aging dogs to remain mobile in their remaining years... John...

Great post and a great tribute Hookset. You are absolutely right, a lot of us are at that time in our lives where our parents are no longer with us. You put into words what many of us feel and think on a practically daily basis. I for one will try to be some of the things to my grandchildren that my Dad was to me. Thank you......
