  1. 4 inches in some spots along starrs beach, lots of thin spots still though so im stickin close to shore
  2. I haven't been down that way but the only thing I can tell you is that the ice is very uneven and lots of wet spots so stay near shore and don't go anywhere where you think there might be current.
  3. Was out on Scugog today on 2.5 to 4 inches, drilled about a half dozen holes within 400 ft from shore along starrs beach. didn't catch any perch, probably because I got a late start. Ill give it a shot tomorrow morning so I'll let you guys know how it goes. My friends were apparently into some crappie closer to Port Perry but im not sure how safe the ice is down there
  4. Scugog is very patchy. Some areas have been frozen for most of December, but other bays are wide open. By new years I should be perch fishing near shore, I definately wouldn't put the huts out for at least a few weeks though.
  5. Yes I should have mentioned that, it only applies to Salmon lake though, Fortescue is fair game for trout, open all year with no slot or line restriction. I usually fish Fortescue in the morning just as a "warm up", then head over to Salmon for the bigguns. Fortescue may be worth it this year if the little dinks from 2 years ago managed to survive. I havent had a look at the charts but I think they stock about 1000 yearly
  6. I've fished that lake quite a bit in the last couple years. Theres plenty of trout in there, but don't expect anything bigger than 3 pounds. I hug the shore along the south side of the lake in 50' to 65' of water. If you wana catch a big one try fishing on Salmon lake
  7. I've been into lots of jumbo perch in the north end of the lake, be prepared to move around a lot though, they don't stick around in one spot too long. Ive had the best luck pre drilling about 6 holes all within 500 metres from shore, everything I've caught so far has been in less than 6 feet of water.
