  1. When I wake up with my calf cramping I just stand up and it goes away instantly. I do think its to do with dehydration, I try and drink a glass of water before I goto bed every night to prevent them.
  2. the Queensway city marine moved to Mississauga. 983 Rangeview Rd, Mississauga, ON. Havent been there yet. Nice staff, always helped me find the parts I needed.
  3. I tried a winter baitcaster setup. caught a small pike but forgot to tighten my drag as it was not screaming like a spinning reels drag does. if the baitcaster you are going to use has a clicker it would be alright.
  4. if you get a pd spray some armour all on the shaft and it'll stow and deploy fine. I recently upgraded to a terrova with ipilot and haven't looked back. The remote is nice, but I wouldn't be able to live without a pedal, cant cast and use a remote at the same time.
  5. if the vehicle sat for a while before being delivered the rotors tend to get some surface rust which would cause some excess dust, but it should go away after a week.
  6. I tried on 3 different computers with no luck. did you do anything different on your second try? it seems pretty straight forward. plug the new chip in, unplug, plug in your old chip, and that's where it says it cant update.... i'll give them another call Monday. its just tough during the day when i'm working
  7. Has anyone picked up the navionics update chip yet? Mine wont update from my nav gold card that came with my elite5. Navionics assures me it can be... Has anyone else had a problem updating?
  8. what are the battery specs? as in. group? Amp hours? deep cycle? the little test lights on the trolling motor are only an indication of the battery voltage as a state of health. a bad battery can have full voltage but limited reserve capacity another thing is to check if you have some fishing line wrapped around your trolling motor prop shaft as this will cause a heavy load...
  9. i'll be going. right now saturday looks better weather wise than sunday. I'll figure out which day or days friday night
  10. do you still need a harbour permit or something to fish there?
  11. Todays game is not going as well.... hopefully the homeruns will start soon...
  12. the readiness monitors should all be ready as long as you have not cleared dtcs, disconnected your battery, or there is a pending dtc and it is monitoring the data to see if a dtc should be set. heres how to "try" and get the monitors "ready". start with 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank of gas. evap monitors wont run with a full tank or almost empty tank Step 1. The vehicle must have sit for 8 hours, without a start. This is required for the EVAP Monitor in some makes, and especially true for some Fords that include a 6 to 8 hour cold soak as part of the EVAP Monitor enabling criteria. Step 2.Warm the engine to normal operating temperature before driving it. Step 3. Drive the vehicle for 10 minutes at highway speeds. Step 4. Drive the vehicle for 20 minutes in stop and go traffic with at least four idle periods. Do not turn the ignition off during the cycle. You can connect a scan tool and take a passenger along to watch the Monitor test status display to inform you when all the Monitors have run to Completion. oh, just saw that link that tells you the same info... this was straight from the repair tech manual
  13. Anyone know a place near mississauga that carrys the Striker Ice hardwater jackets/bibs? or have a recommendation for a similar 2 piece floater suit that has the ice fisherman in mind? I can order it online, but i'd perfer to try it on and get the right fit. my 1 piece floater is too restrictive for my liking. The venting on the striker suit is what i really like as I drag a pretty big sled and if its a long walk the venting would be nice
  14. heres how to do a parasitic draw test. easier to watch the video than trying to explain most problems i've seen is aftermarket stuff including rust protection modules. had one drawing 60mA due to a bad connection. good luck
  15. A friend of mine had his garage door frame and track cut and put on hinges so when the garage door is open he can swing the bottom 3 feet of the frame and track inward to allow his boat to fit. he gained atleast half a foot by doing this. and if your handy, a lot cheaper than buying a new trailer
