I was out fishing for largemouth bass in the Kawarthas last weekend and brought my new Gopro camera with me. Manage to catch some action on video. The fish are still in the shallow stuff and they are very active. The bigger fish were caught in the evening when my Gopro went out of batteries but still got some good footage.
Enjoy!

Bring it to your closest marina and ask them how much they will take it for then add 25 to 30% on top of their price. My guess is around $7000. Does it come with any electronics or trolling motor? Those can affect the selling price significantly.
Good luck with the sale.

Very nice Mike... Awesome report and great to see that you had a good time.
-
Nice.. poor smallie.

It looks like a bluegill to me. Should try that on a girl with longer hair next time and watch her catch a pike on it. LOL

the 91 octane gas at Ultramar does not have ethanol.

Gross.. What a waste of a beauty..

Love your story... I always tell myself that the one that got away doesn't count and keep fishing ... =]

Damn ... Very nice fish ...

I use the Gamakatus wicked wacky too. Awesome wacky hook. Make sure you get the O ring too or you are only going to average 1 fish per worm.

G pool has some good smallies. But your inflatable boat might not get you out far. Stay around docks and shorelines.

Great info. Thanks for sharing. I wish the Kawartha Lakes have fishery like the Rideau River.
Nexstar - The jig is a 1/2oz Cx3 in black with a YUM trailer.
Woodenboater - I only use the "mouth palm slap" when fish are hooked on the inside top and the mouth and are sticking tight. I am actually not hitting the fish at all, just the head of the jig at the correct angle that pops it out quickly and easily almost every time. As for a talon - yes, would definitely work - especially when the wind is really howling. If the winds are calm, I prefer to cover water, so like to actively move with the trolling motor.
Good Fishing,

add a soft plastic swimbait to it and just retrieve it slowly. It's a deadly presentation.

Congratz on cashing a cheque... It must be an awesome experience.

This is a bass fisherman's dream. Thanks for sharing.
What's the weight of your jig?

Interesting story... My neighbour's tree limbs are well over our property line.. Good thing to learn about the ruling
If you were in Toronto, this story and the legal ruling would make one jittery.
but the neighbour should have spoken to you first, if he was a good neighbour....

I know a pro who goes through his batteries every 2 years.. He used Kirkland and switched to Deka hoping that it will last longer but he need a replacement after 2 years on his Deka also. So save yourself some money and get the Kirkland.

drop shot is your best bet. The action of the worm will still be there. Good luck.

You are right, they should last me longer if I am not tempted to upgrade to the new model they make every 2 years or so .. this is how they make money..
They should last you a lot longer then 5-7 years...
Only rod I've ever broken legitimately was a St.Croix Avid that snapped a few inches above the handle when I set the hook on a big pike. Other then that, nothing.. I've got rigger rods from the early 80's that still get use anytime I'm downrigging.. Love those things! Guides could use a re-wrap but other then that they are mint,.

uglystick is made for life ..
I expect my graphite rods to last 5 -7 years if it's well taken care of. my rods are mostly high end .. G loomis GLX, NRX ...
