Sail has 15% off sales quite regularly. Their price on Minn Kota stuff is very competitive to begin with and when you save the extra 15 points you can't beat it. I shopped around all last winter and that was the best deal going including shopping in the US.
x2 on Sail, got a great deal on a terrova 18 months ago from Sail with a 15% off sale.

You can also get steel brackets from Cisco systems, they are a sturdier version of the Lund brackets, check them out here http://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/shop/rail-style-and-lund-mounts-5237
If you are in the GTA, JBs fishing depot has some in stock.

Those are probably lakers, i caught some small ones in August last year, but same thing - marked lots but not many takers.
Try spoons and long leads of riggers, maybe a gang troll?

Thanks a lot - that is a great deal!

There also is a movie theatre in town - old school theatre, really cool.

I too have a black lund, I wouldnt use CLR on it, that us corrosive and may damage the paint. Treat it like your car/truck - its just paint on metal, same as the car. For water spots, use a cleaner wax, lots of good suggestions here - Meguiars and Mothers are 2 good brands that are easily bought here. Keep it waxed and the water spots wont stay.
Also, if you trailer, keep a couple of the microfibre drying towels in the boat and dry it off when you pull it out of the water - will help to keep it clean and help with not transporting invasive species.

I know Bass City in Unionville carries 13 rods, you could also try Fishing world and Grimsby tackle they also sell them. Will Sail not special order you one from 13 directly?

If you want to do it yourself, I followed the video here and my reels were like new. The supplies you can pick up most tackle stores.

You should call Lund, should still be under warranty. Good luck.

Thanks Terry.. Do you have the Tyee?
If I squeeze it all in I am hoping to have room for a Snowmobile
I have an 1800 Tyee, it does 'just' fit in my double garage, it's 20'10" long with the swing tongue. You could probably get a snowmobile in, but it would be a very tight fit.
Good luck!

I bought 2 of the Duracell deep cell batteries from Sail last year when they had a 15% off sale, worked really great for my 24v Terrova. If you do a search there are only a few battery manufacturers with a lot of different brand names.

I have the same setup as you, HDS-7 and MK Terrova. I use the Terrova spot lock all the time, great feature I also use the cruise control and the heading function to control the TM from the remote usuaally at the back of the boat when i troll on Lake O, no need to have the integration with the fishfinder, havent used it in fairness, but i dont see a big need. I didnt like the reviews of the motorguide when i bought.
Good luck.

I heard the exchange rate is the big reason for the increase in boat prices, especially the Lunds.

I was there a few years ago, always people on the beach after 5, shark fishing. Also, check out the tackle shop in the salty dog complex - they do kayak fishing for redfish near the golf course.
Good luck

I bought 2 Duracell 27s from Sail last year for exactly the same terrova - great batteries, never let me down and go all day. You can get them for $130 or so when Sail has their 15% off sale.

I have the same trolling motor and picked up a Dual pro recreational 2 bank charger for it, never any problems, does a great job to charge and pretty reasonable.

+1 on the boomerang snips - can get them at bass pro, cut.s through just about any fishing line.

Saw a couple of trucks out on the ice at Miners bay today - plenty of ice still

Thanks for the replies fellas.
If anyone has been out on any of the bigger lakes in that area over the last while and has any updates on the conditions, I would appreciate it!

I was out on Boshkung last weekend - had over a foot of good ice where we were. Plenty of huts out at the middle and north ends. Lots of huts on 12 mile as well, and Mountain had a few huts.
Good ice where we were on Bosh, but they got hammered with a foot of snow on Saturday, might be a bit slushy this weekend with the warmer weather.
'Hut City' is out in miners bay as well - they ave been there since end of December

I find LeBarons usually has the better pricing, especially with the 10% off club - however their return policy is not as good as BPS - if i have a big purchase - unless its a lot cheaper at LeBarons, i will buy at BPS.
LeBarons also doesn't seem to have a lot of selection - more at BPS.

you can also try http://www.kawarthaanglers.com/forum - they have a board on daly.
