Can't beat a good day of crappie fishing, I use my old 13ft float rod with a spinning reel for them it's a blast, get far casts, picks up slack line for hooksets so easily, and great for twitching from a distance.

Thanks guys... I'm heading to my place on Wahwashkesh on the weekend but not sure if the family wants to deal with all the bugs!
Big chunk of water, only fished it twice but got some nice eyes and a big gator, nice area!

You can now actually look at the maps right on their website by clicking the webapp bar along the top, and if you zoom in and press the sonarcharts icon which kinda looks like a volume icon then you'll get the 1ft contours and some lakes that had no detail before will now.

I run a Bradley 4-rack digital electric smoker, great buy. Set it and forget it. Don't have to babysit it what so ever!

2 weeks ago a vehicle did go through at Virginia also a snowmobile and a truck got it's front end stuck in a pressure crack.

Grimsby tackle has some of the fin-a fish if you're in the Niagara region, if you're looking for certain colours we can likely order them.

Sure am!

It's never the initial moment you fart, it's the next time you bend over or crouch etc where the push of air hits you in the face! Lol. Usually once you've already forgotten about the fart haha.

Haha yup first time I ever fished the niagara my jug of sunny d got swept away before I knew it, hadn't even cracked the seal lol. The Niagara can catch you off guard that's for sure!

Some quality fish right there
Sweet score on the lures! This was the first year I've ever had to fish from behind the trees down in the whirlpool...OPG is doing some crazy stuff with the water
2 Sundays ago? I hiked down and turned right around and went back up lol. Strong west/southwest winds will push the water high but I've never seen it that stupid before.

All the fall spoon chuckers for salmon donate them then nov 1st the water drops revealing the bounty! Lol
-
It's been a great start so far hiking the shoreline and hooking up on plenty of fresh chrome, the lower boat drifts are starting to pick up so that'll be the next task!
And the highlights of the last two trips I've managed a few big girls!
Oh and the first day of the water dropping was quite productive in a different way lol. Found 83 lures between me and a buddy.

I have that same net, perfect for the rivers, a little tight when you get the real long fish but haven't lost one yet because of it!

That's the nice thing with the Shimano camera is it will fit all the gopro mounts too, I've seen one sample video using the camera and the picture and sound are great but I was just hoping to see if anyone on here owned one. If I end up grabbing one I'll be sure to post.
-
well bud, I'm very sure Shimano did not step into the camera manufacturing world.
as such, it might be better to find out who made the camera, and buy from that manufacturer.
likely save the ridiculous shimano markups they are famous for.
I've got a chance at a good deal on one which is why I'm considering it.

Thinking of picking one up, anyone try one of these out yet? They look sleek fairly small and will transmit through wifi as well.

Definitely is the same as a peanut Dave, laker go stupid when you drag them around behind a lake troll!
-
Navionics + pick and choose the lakes you want and download the extra sonar charts feature which gives you 1ft contours.

the question i have is this....I bought my rods and gear with a lifetime warranty,so having bought my rods with this offer shouldnt they still have to honor it? grandfather rule?
They will be covered but the new rod you receive will only have one year.
-
859 from humminbird packaged with navionics + is a great bundle if you're not looking to get into side or down imaging.

It always seems the more money i spend on fishing gear, the more it breaks? Anyone else with me in this boat ahahhaa
now im really worried about my g-loomis rod i just picked up. I did however see that now with G-loomis you can pay 100 bucks and they will replace your rod no matter what happens to it...not such a bad deal.
The more you spend on a rod the more sensitive, light, etc it is which comes by using the more brittle material, you buy a cheap rod it's built with cheap components which will take a beating. Glass rods compared to graphite is the easiest example. Take a look at the classic ugly stik, you can fold them in half without breaking it but for sensitivity you can't feel crap lol.

Well said Miller.
I have one high end rod. Custom made.
All my others are mid 80-100 bucks. Im still fishing many of them after 10+ years. The only think Im seeing on them is the guide wrap coating is starting to crack. Big deal. 10+ years of great use.
I see it every day working on the retail end in fishing, guys abuse the rods get plenty of years out of it and expect it to be warrantied, other companies like Pure Fishing(Abu, Fenwick, Berkley) have already gotten more strict with their policies. If you get several years out of a rod you've easily gotten your money's worth.

^This^
Also, just a heads up that SAIL has changed their policy on returned rods, you now have to send them to the manufacturer, we can mail them as well but they will not be replaced by SAIL.
Regardless of what dealer you go through they can no longer handle Shimano warranties, you have to send it in yourself.

It's high you'll need a long handled net.
