  1. Hello fellow members.

Im pretty sure most of you don't remember, but if you well I grew up alot since then.

But to recap. Last I was here I had a really bad accident which gave me a lot of time to reflect on myself and what I really wanted in life. Spent slot of time baby sitting my sisters child and came to a conclusion that it was time for m to grow up and raise a family of my own. I found a wonderful girlfriend with her wonderful daughter(yeah yeah baggage and all that but piss on all of you that think so) ;)

Not going to lie it was a challenge when I moved in but I've grown attached to her and love her as my own child and hopefully she feels the same way.

The downside my girlfriend doesn't like to go fishing but her daughter was fascinated with the different kinds of fish we have caught for the past two years.

    Sunfish

    Rainbow trout

    A cold(ice fishing skunked)

    Bass

    Pontoon boat ride

    Leeches

    Salmon and a Lost iPhone

    And hopefully many more.

Will post photos once I have permission from the gf. But right now she has a keen interest and more than ever since she came in second place for the local trailer park community bass derby for children.

    Cheers,

    Ted

    P.s

Also I've relocated to Kitchener and learning the grand river and local areas with my step daughter. So far no luck but with her tagging along i have no problem exploring the waters.

  2. Hey guys

I'm taking the girlfriend and her daughter out for some shore fishing this long weekend. I heard about belwood, puslinch, and little lake but I'm not too familiar with these lakes. Ive fished mostly simcoe and rice lake but out west I'm totally clueless. If anyone can drop me a private message to give me some sort of direction on where to start that would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Good job another three months and you are in clear sailing. Also I've been almost six months and 1/3 your years of smoking. The biggest mistake was to take fla few drags of foreign smokes.... You know what I found out? I did not enjoy it and I didn't miss it either, but for two weeks I was really irritated and got upset very easily. Also please don't be smug about it. I really hate these ex smokers and they put down or feel sorry for them smokers and it really pathetic. The only thing I find annoying is those that say they want to quit or going to quit but make no efforts at all!!!!

  4. If a plumber is making $200 per hour why would anyone want to be a doctor... :whistling:

That two hundred bucks an hour is worked out based on his training, knowledge, and expertise. Also if you figure out the cost of expenses, time plus material that should very well cover that trades person. You can pay a guy 60 bucks an hour but when people cheap out and buy the material and the time to get them you are doing the trades person a favor. Sometimes its the luck of the draw by the hour or quote.

  5. i would give mnr and local by law office a call to see if his dock and sign is legal. He doesn't own the water. <_<

i had a smart ass neighbour park his big ass pickup truck on a shared laneway.... got to the point that it got really difficult to park the car so i call the proper authorities and it was two tickets before he got the message. Now He Just Park His Small Crap Box AND Messed Up The Front Siding Of His Garage.

would have snuck in at night and loosen up his rope :P

  6. Its been 3.5 years for me and it was champix that got me through it after a week or so you will notice how bad you smell when you smoke that was the biggest incentive for me can't believe how bad it makes people smell (sorry smokers but you stink LOL) good luck and stick with it.

    i concur with the stinky.

  7. Simon, Please keep me posted as to your progress. Like you i quit the booze 21 years ago, but the smokes are deadly addictive, and i was unsuccessful quitting a few months ago. I could use a bit of support to help me try again and maybe stick with it this time.

    Good luckthumbsup_anim.gif

I can see how breaking this habit CAN be really really hard but really its not. Alot of people think that these needs for smoking are just bad habits but people get confused with habits and addiction. Regardless of being unsuccessful you should have just stuck with it. In the month of march i think i ended up buying smokes and smoking everyday for three weeks before getting back on track. and in april i had a few slip heres and there and i pretty much learned how to say "NO" to friends and peers who offered(you know who you are). But Every Week It Got Easier And Easier. The BIG reward is the left over money i have saved from buying smokes and already i can buy a 14' trailer(second hand of course) with that money :)

Keep it up merc and limely

  8. hang in there limeyangler I gave up today as well. I started at 15 stopped at 19 started again 3 years ago smoked on and off since then

best thing is to quit cold turkey and pick up sports stay away from them cancer sticks , the money you spend on cigarettes every week stash it aside for 1 year im sure you'll have a good sum of $$$$$$$$$$

Good luck and don't give in.

    cheers

i still hang around with people who still smoke. to tell you the truth i honestly dont think about grabbing them and lighting up. I tried once after a month and was so turned off with the taste, swollen throat and stuffy nose.

cold turkey could be a bad thing as well. nicotine is a drug that is very addictive. some people who go cold turkey who goes back to smoking find themself sometimes smoking more. I Just slowly weened myself off with a little bit of help and even thought it feels like ive stopped smoking for a year its only been april 2011 I officially stopped.

just find your groove and you can kick this habit.

    cheers,

    Ted
