  1. I saw a big Sturgeon swimming into the current and crayfish that seemed like he walked out from under the camera!

Also just saw something that looked like a whitefish, couldn't tell they flew through the screen but were big.

  2. I don't know about any spots up that way but Minor's fishmarket in Port C. had bags of smelts for a $1 each. Looked like a couple pounds per bag too, lotta smaller looking ones but hey if ya can't fish for em its always an option.

  3. I've never used more than 1 minnow, my hot lure this year has been the jigging rap. I run stinger hooks on all my lures, can't tell you how many times I've had them just grab the tail, you go to set and just feel it tear. I don't fish electronic so I don't know when they're there, just going by feel. I'm sure if ya had a flasher you could play with them a bit more, the one guy I fish with has one and actually lets em go back down a few feet before setting the hook!! I fish 2 rods using 2 different lures, no real pattern with my jigging, just constantly moving to try to attract em, I've had em bump one lure then smash the other! Perch, white, green and gold are all very good choices!

  4. Yes , but they are smaller of course, and the effectiveness, assortment and technology of them is way behind the 12.

Seriously??? You must not do much slug hunting then, just about every major brand makes their top of the line slugs in 12 and 20 ga. This includes Federal, Winchester, and Hornady to name a few, also Savage just came out with a dedicated 20ga bolt action slug gun. With sabot slugs these days the weight difference between a 12 and 20 is usually around an 1/8th to a 1/4 ounce, nothing major. My old man shoots a BPS 20 with a slug barrel on it, none of the deer he's killed with it ever knew it wasn't a 12 ga...
