  1. I am looking for suggestions on Lodges that are within 12 hours of driving that can be fly-in, drive in or boat in. I will be with a group of 10 people. We are planning on going in Late September or early October. Target species are Walleye and Pike.

Any suggestions you have are appreciated!!

I tried to search on the forum for topics but didn't get anywhere.

  2. Looking for some plans or pictures for a home made canoe rack for my ATV.

I have 2009 Polaris 500 if that matters.

Doing some back lakes and will be on some rough terrain and I think a utility trailer will not cut it.

If you have ideas for a quick home made trailer for a small boat 14 ft that would be cool too!!!

I know they sell them for anywhere from $200- $500 but to rich for my blood.

    Thanks in advance!!!!

  3. I am looking at booking South Shore Lodge on Eagle Lake for Mid September 2011 and been doing some surfing and cannot find any reviews.

Looking for someone who's been or knows something about it or even Eagle Lake its self. From what I can tell Eagle a a great lake for us as we love love the Pike - Walleys and bass

Any info - advice is appreciated!!

    Thanks in advance

  4. thoought I would run a new thread for the specific question.

    Hey fellas

Looking for some advice on how to stack while down rigging.

I want to run 2 lines or even 3 if possible off on downrigger, what are your suggestions on how to do this, I have seen a few differnt ways but looking for the best.

I will problably have the cannonball at 100ft or so and wanted to run a bait at around 60ft.

    Thanks

  5. There is plenty of fishing opportunities right close to Orangeville as mentioned the resie(pike, bass, perch), hockley river (brookies), grand river (browns, bass, carp), Belwood Lake (pike, bass etc), credit river and conservation. If you looking to drive 1 hour out the possibilities ar endless, Lake Ontario and surounds tribs, lake simcoe to Georgian bay and surrounding tributaries. If you make the move to the ville youi'll have lots of choices!!

PM me if you want more exact spots!!

  6. My advice is get yourself a downrigger and start working the water column. Start at 50 FT and starting heading down from there. If you fish with a partner run another flat line.

Really I have found lakers to be not all the fussy on colour I tend to lean towards blues, pinks, white??

This time of year they will be spread out until the thermocline is set then it will get easier to find!

    Good luck

  7. Hey all

I am starting to plan our bi-yearly fishing trip that usually takes place in September and I am looking for some suggestions on lakes and even outfitters?

The fellas seem to want to target big pike, Walleye and Muskey occasionally .

Last trip we went to LOTW and had a amazing time but thinking something different.

We are open to really anything within 24 hour drive but I am leaning towards keeping it under 12 if possible and under the a grand in price?

    Your advice is appreciated
