  1. Nice job Ryan
  2. We were there yesterday and he opened at 8.
  3. Fireline. I've got 50# on a round baitcaster and really enjoy it. I found the50# powerpro dug into the remainder of the spool for some reason and made for all sorts of headaches. Problem may have been user related but switching lines seems to have helped.
  4. I get a 7'6" one piece flipping stick in no problem.
  5. I really like my matrix. The hatchback is really versatile in terms of what you can carry cargo wise.
  6. The musky shop has them for $13.99 usd.
  7. after reading about some of the setups out there for carp I decided I was seriously under-gunned. I landed some half decent fish last year in an area with virtually no timber and it still took me forever, so I pretty much just replicated urban fisherman's setup, except using daiwa gear. Thanks for the idea. Looking forward to trying it out (soon). Now if only the creek mouth I fish hadn't been so washed out by that one storm last year... haven't seen or caught a carp there since.
  8. yeah, I saw those. Looks pretty good. Can't wait to try it out.
  9. nice to see the carp are biting. Might have to get out there this week.
  10. http://www.savage-gear.com/ thats the website. The 4-play bait is on the left side. Thanks for the response.
  11. If push comes to shove you should be able to break 50lb line. Just wrap it a bunch of times around your plier handles (not your hand!) and give it a pull. It will likely break where the egg singer has been rubbing the line or failing that the knot. I repeat, do not wrap the line around your hand.
  12. Picked up a 14cm firetiger hard swimbait from one of the "impulse buy" bins at bps this morning. Was wondering if anyone has used them and for what species? They have a couple vids on youtube and the action looks good but I'm having trouble finding reviews for the product. Thanks
  13. seems to be running quicker?
  14. Same here! Last time I went right back in and bought another $150 worth of gear. I asked the girl if she was sure, and she said yes.
  15. I couldn't use my card when I went today.
  16. nice to see zone17 producing quality fish through the ice. good job
  17. is that any way to talk to the nation that gave us Rapala's?
  18. Lew, I think I'm just down the lake from you and the rogers rocket stick works pretty good...we never could get bell sympatico to work quite right and it is WAY better than dial up. But it is not as reliable/fast as what we get here in the gta, but like I said that is with the stick, not the hub. I would be interested in checking out the hub myself as we sometimes have more than one person with laptops wanting online at once.
  19. so not a full size then... nevermind what I said.
  20. a full size bus? I gotta think once you outfit it with all the motorhome essentials you would be well into DZ territory. My dad has heard of mto busting retirees with the fifth wheel tow trailerhomes because the weight of them requires an A, and a lot of these guys don't have it. Gotta watch the weight... I do not have a definitive answer though.
  21. love the rocket sled!
  22. Well considering my rapala polarized are being held together with tape (unfortunate sitting accident) , I decided to order some oakleys for both everyday wear and fishing. I am looking forward to comparing the difference out on the water.
  23. wouldn't have bought cheap rod/reel combos or bargain brand line or discount plastic baits. Would buy my bps extreme reel again, as well as gulp alive plastics and my rapala topwater cranks.
  24. good tips!
