  4. I'm looking to get into some float fishing but don't want to spend a fortune on a centerpin reel. What's the best value reel for about $100? Thanks
  5. I prefer Japanese cranks like Lucky Craft, Ken Kraft, Bell, Daiwa etc. In my opinion, there is more thought put towards the weight and balance of the lure. Their rattles are well thought out for maximum casting distance and their depth range is bang on. They get down the right depth right away. My only knock against them is that they tend to come with undersized hooks, but man are they ever sharp. Although a little pricey and sometimes hard to find, if it catches you big fish and wins a tournament, isn't it worth it?
  6. Doesn't the rod wrap add considerable weight throwing the balance off?
  7. If I had to fish one lure to save my life it would be a Storm Chug Bug (Frog pattern with white belly). You can't go wrong with a topwater bait.
  8. I'm interested in picking up some split grip rods. My friend just got back from fishing Wheeler at the FLW and he told me that baitcasting with split grips are a pain, so now I'm wondering if I should just get them for spinning finness. Anyone have an opinion on split grip baitcasters? Thanks
  9. Too bad. I wonder what the closest place to the border?
  10. They came out about 3 days ago. I'm thinking of ordering them from Monster Tackle on the ast coast. Shipping rates are incredible! $10 for one pice 7 foot rods! They even combine shipping on rods.
  11. Hi All, I'm looking at picking up some of the new Falcon Bucoo rods. I can only find them in the States in limited stores. Does anyone know much about them? I read things online, but they are so new to the market that simple info such as the taper is not out yet. I was also considering the MoJo's but the colour is really putting me off. Is anyone planning on ordering a Bucoo or have one and can give me a review on it or on Falcon rods in general. Is there a Falcon rod dealer in the GTA? Thanks. Nelson
