  1. I love docs, but have yet to see this one, but a girl I work with is bringing it for me shortly. Should be interesting!
  2. I just did my duty a couple weeks ago here in Toronto... And just to clear things up, the court system will only pay you: $40/day (IIRC) ONLY if the case lasts longer than 10 days, not including weekends and holidays $100/day ONLY if the case lasts longer than 50 days, not including weekends and holidays. I never got called for a case, and was only there Wednesday - Friday. It really wasn't that bad, if you go prepared. This was my second time serving, so I learned the first go round. Bring a good book/magazine, iPod loaded with tv shows/movies, Nintendo DS or PSP, or a Laptop and you're all set.
  3. Costa Del Mar Lash in gray lens. Amazing glasses. I do also have a pair of Oakley's with an amber lens that I wear on occasion.
  4. I see hawks all the time around the Warden and Lawrence area. I've also started seeing them around work, just off Ashtonbee
  5. Not that I'm an expert or anything, but it could also be a "dye" thats added to sewer lines to help trace them. I've seen it done a couple times in the Don I also suppose it could be something to control mosquitos, but I don't remember that being orange.
  6. I don't own one, but I haven't heard anything bad about them. However, they have redesigned them. Green casing now, as well as some new workings inside. 300E... Kinda makes you wonder if there were issues with the older DSV's. Anywho, if I were to find a great deal on a DSV, I wouldn't think twice.
  7. Those are awesome shots man. The wife and I are huge fans! Any chance I can get the full rez versions, or buy some prints straight from you? Love to have a few to hang on the wall. I'm going to the Toronto show at the end of July. Should be amazing! If you can help, let me know!
  8. I got a pair of polarized Oakley Half Jackets with a bronze lens that a customer left behind for well over a month. I mainly use them for off mountain biking, but I'll be trying them this year on overcast days.
  9. I'd say the bass fishing is pretty good
  10. Personally, I throw spinnerbaits with a 7'6" St. Croix Premiere series rod, paired up with a Curado 200d. Great combo! I tie into a number of muskies while throwing smaller baits, so personally I use 50lb. Power Pro and an 80lb leader. Just a personal preference, and the fish couldn't care less!
  11. This is under the awning outside my bedroom window. They were there a couple of year ago as well. I thought I had some pics from then uploaded somewhere, but I guess I don't. Hopefully I'll get some of the babies when the time comes. It does explain why I'm constantly hearing cardinals though.
  12. I've never used one personally, but they do work. I picked one up over winter that I will try out sometime this season. They are probably one of the slowest working topwaters, which I have a feeling will lead me to throw my Pacemaker more often. Not so sure I have the patience to throw something so slow. I grabbed this one on eBay for about $15 US.
  13. I heard about this a little while back. Barry, the owner of Redwing lives 2 houses away. I've been trying to get the scoop, but I haven't gotten a chance too yet.
  14. The main difference between the 5500 and the 6500 is line capacity. If you really feel like you need the extra yardage, then go 6500. You could however go 5500 and spool it up without the backing. Both have the same guts, and thats what really matters when throwing larger baits. The 5500 should be a little more comfortable in the hand as well. I have seen my share of lower end models give up the ghost when fighting a decent muskie...reels that were only used to throw bass spinnerbaits. It's whats inside that counts!
  15. Well, I think I know the difference between water, and ice. The only fishable water was near the bridge that leads to the marina, and there was allready a number of ppl there so I didn't bother. The pictures were taken just over an hour ago. Considering it's March break, the launch area was full of ppl and birds. I don't know, maybe it iced up a bit over night, but it was there.
