  1. Actually, it's a GREAT city, contrary to what a lot of rural folks think... and it's still one of the safest big cities on the planet... stats will back that up! I love the great outdoors and I need a break form the city once in a while, but nothing beat the lifestyle, amenities, shopping, dining, culture of a big city... I guess to each his own... good luck in your search... try ViewIT.com for rental info...has entire GTA
  2. Kleinburg and King a VERY expensive... mostly estate housing... that's where all the hockey players live (Cujo, Wendel, etc...)
  3. you had 7 players on th ice and you still couldn't score SMURFS Suck
  4. about as bad as the habs hahahaha habs suck... another loss... 5 losses in my books cause that win against the Leafs was a fluke..totally outplayed
  5. Sounds like the modern-day mom Anyhow, i'm sure mom was killed...maybe wolves?
  6. Be patient Leafs fans... this team is in a rebuilding mode they finnish with 88pts Boston will pick up a mediocre player that will skate on their farm team.. Leafs will continue to build ove rthe next two seaosns.. money will be freed up once toskola is gone blake will be bought out good free agent coming this summer.... NASH! Kadri, Nash, Kessel... Stalberg, Bozak, Hanson.. the future is bright
  7. Other than deer, what can be hunted in those forests? Grouse? Turkey? Rabbit?
  8. It's Oct 13... don't get to happy about the Leafs losing They're much better than what you see.. Just rewind to game against Mtl. That is the real Leaf team... and they fully deserved that game They're trying to get Toskola going so they can trade him. He stinks but Macdonald is SOLID and the new swede MIGHT be ok. They have a top-five D that is playing like crap. They will get better... Post again in 6 weeks...
  9. They look so cute sleeping in the back of the truck
  10. Your probably right, but that could be applied to a number of consumable products... and consumers don't behave rationally, do we?! I still think there's a difference from product to product, whether it's guns or cars... I've always been very selective
  11. Are you using the sabbots slugs with the riffled barrel? Thanks..
  12. I've been on the Benelli owner's forum. Most of them don't bother with the rifled barrel. They say that certain slugs (Breneke) can be fired with exceptional accuracy out of the smooth bore (IC choke) without hesitation... judging by their picture forum they're probably right.. I raised the concern about the rifled barrels and Sabot slugs and they simply aren't needed. Most hunters will not regularly attempt a 150 yard shot anyway and you usually don't have that kind of distance to shoot... Usually 50-100 yards... correct me if I'm wrong. I also found the Mossbergs somewhat cheap feeling when compared to the Benelli. I'm sure they're good quality though... As for the chamber, you don't actually have to use 3.5" shells. You can use 2.75 and 3" and many of the Benelli owners do. But it's nice to have the option of 3.5 even if you don't use it. Now I have to decide if I want to dish out even more and go for the Super Nova which has a few more options including an improved cushioned recoil..apparently it really reduces the kick.. Thanks!
  13. This is how I feel about it... no disrespect to the Rems but it's kind of like comparing a decent and reliable car to a higher end one... It seems that Benelli's (after feeling/holding both guns) are just made with better quality materials and craftmanship...I think the Rem's are so popular cause they're inexpensive and they're made in the USA so we get a lot more exposure... I bet there's lots of good guns out there that people pass up b/c they don't know them well/ Products that come out of Italy are usually almost always very high quality.. And you know what? they don't really cost that much more... we're talking about $150 more.. If you own a gun for 15-25 years that's nothing...
  14. More humane? I never understood this arguement... it's an animal... the creator put it on this earth to be consumed.. Go to a slaughter house and see how "humane" your steak is being treated.. whether it dies instantly or within 2 minutes, what's the diff? please, enlighten me
  15. I'm leaning toward the Benelli... I did a lot f research and these guns seem awesome and indestructible... ANd I doesn't seem like I'll need the different barrels. The Nova would be the type of gun I'd not grow out of.. thanks guys... I'll let you know how I make out
  16. This one will make you pee your pants..
  17. So to hunt deer, what are my options with it? Would I need to buy a separate riffled barrel or can I shoot slugs with the IC choke in place? You'll have to pardon my ignorance since I'm new to this hunting thing! I also want to target smaller game like upland bird, rabbit and turkey and as far as I can tell, it seems to be good for those species.. especially duck/geese Every review I've read has been mostly very positive.. it seems like I wouldn't need to upgrade from there. It's really not much more than a Remington or Moss Thanks!
  18. It's a shame the the MNR doesn't stock more coho... I'd plant chinook, coho and bow exclusively with higher quantities if I had my way. Scrap the rest...
  19. hey folks, What are you opinions on the Benelli Nova pump actions? I am still looking for a gun and my brother-in-law said I should check them out... apparently real fine gun. I am looking to target multi species including deer, turkey, waterfowl and upland game.. will this gun do the trick? It's well priced at Cabelas: https://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pageID=71&...1727&ID=289 Thanks for any input!
  20. That's what I thought...
  21. Ya, I tried that route... couldn't find anything that said either way...
  22. Hey folks, Just curious; did Starcraft manufacture welded aluminum boats back in the 1970's? Thanks, SF
  23. I jst did my course last week... now the bloody wait for PAL... Why does it take nearly 3 months? Criminals don't wait but law-abiding citizens have to wait... oh the irony..
  24. There is significant natural reproduction occurring now with Pacific Salmon... much to the chagrin of the OMNR biologists..
