  1. Hey im headed up thurs. Night how are the bugs. And hows the fishing bin? Im putting in at the hwy. And headded west about 20km to ox bay. Its my girlfreinds first time to the area and first canoe in camping trip....we will see how it goes lol....but she does enjoy fishing.
  2. There are some lunkers in the big east river as well as trophy pike. Down by the dwyre monument has good acess for shore fishing. Best done in a canoe. Ive fished that river all the way from algonquin park down to arrowhead i get excited just thinkin about it.

  4. I've always done well at earle rowe. I used to camp there every may24 with my parents .. Chucking spoons above the dam produced ranbow prettyregularaly the colder the spring the better....and below the dam a big float and chunk of worm always kept us busy as kids with rockbass suckers and chub..

  6. i shore fish allot and have got into the habit of bringing a big black garbage bag with me to fill when i leave.....sad but someones got to do it......

  9. gonna a be headed there this weekend for A "hike" with the gf. and dog and fishing pole lol. with the crappy weather forcasted i gave up on camping. i have done a little digging and found mixed reports on the regs some say its all c and r no barbs single hook. others say those dont apply while in the conservation area. anyone here know for shure. the regs are hard to read on that section of the river without knowlage of local landmarks... any baitshops in that area i could consult...thanks in advance
  10. i love the french system. i have never fished it in the spring only labourday every fall. its "tradition" in my family....good luck in the fall... i use badboyz jigs tipped with a peice of worm.
  11. what are my chances of getting a spot in algonquin without a reservation this weekend? is it usualy packed may24? will the blackflies be out yet?

  13. im looking for sugestions as to where to pitch my tent next weekend. Allot of my normal spot's are not accesable since i downsized from a dodge ram to a toyota carrola. my wants are as follows, carola accesable, i dont mind gettin a little dirty and rough. decent fishing from a canoe. want to target either waleye and pike or trout. looking for less than a three hour drive from toronto. any sugestions?

  19. my friend bought one two weeks after driving it outa the showroom he crossed a small creek with it about 2ft deep. the engine shut down in the middle. we towed it to the dealership and said it was not covered. oilpan was FULL of water. he dropped the keys on the counter and said thats fine i havent made the first payment yet. this was right after 9\11 0 $ down. it was a toomraider edition frontier.

  25. I have done ok in past years casting mr. Twister's on jigs above the dam In dunville. But its always so crowded. Where would be the best place to target them from a canoe in that reigon? Above the dam or below? Any tips would be much apprecated. Im taking my 15 year old cousin out with me who lost his father a few years back... My uncle wayne tought me to fish when i was a kid...he won a few lake O samon tourneys back in the day....ive only ever consistently caught them up on the french and lets be honest in the early fall thats like shooting fish in a barrel. I just want to put him on fish if at all possible. Thanks in advance pm. Me if thats better.....
