  1. As long as it was stored in a cool dry place out of the sun you'll be ok.
  2. Change the water pump impeller before you take it out on the water. It will have taken a set will be badlt deteriorated and will disintegrate as soon as it is used. You don't want the little bits of rubber to clog any of the water passages. Change the plugs and do a carb rebuild, also replace any fuel lines and filter.
  3. My dad used to be Group Product Manager (in charge of marketing) for Facelle.
  4. IT Manager Government of the North West Territories.
  5. And some are even legal.
  6. One more note on IO's if the bellows gets torn/worn out your boat can fill with water very quickly. I have seen inboards blow exhaust hoses and they will fill the boat up pretty quick too. Both IO's and Inboards are more difficult to work on and take more maintenance. Outboards are more $$$$ to replace but the 4 strokes get decent mileage. Personally I would go with an outboard powered boat.
  7. If you start driving now, you can be at my place by then.
  8. Not surprising as there are about 5,000,000 more people in California than there are in Canada.
  9. Nice report and good looking fish!!! My pup has similar issues when I'm trying to ice fish. He's always using the holw as his drinking bowl and getting caught up in my dead sticking lines. I wouldn't have it any other way.
  10. The best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials. Here they are in one place for your enjoyment. Super Bowl Commercials
  11. There are lots of cabins and off grid homes running green power systems. Most of the cabins I have seen run a couple of deep cyc;e batteries that feed an inverter. The batteries are recharged using solar power for the most part. Off grid homes that are lived in year round run systems similar but have bigger inverters, batteries and solar panels. They may also add a wind turbine. They will also have a large gennerator when they need to run high demand appliences. Most off grid homes and cabins will have propane powered appliances such as stoves and fridges. I have been squirrling away supplies to build my own cabin. I managed to get great deals on a small propane/12 volt fridge and a 1750 watt inverter. I got the fridge from a co-worker for $50 and got the inverter at a garage sale for $100. Now all I need is a cabin to put it in.
  12. A good flasher and depending how far north you fish a power auger. Ice is already 40" thick in some areas around my place. Northern Ontario ice is probably pretty thick by now as well. A sled (jet sled or similar) to pull your gear around in.
  13. I.ve done a little customizing on mine. Trailer and boat were painted to match my old bronco. Carpet was changed to blue as well. And last spring I did a total rebuild of the helm. Before After I want to replace the LMS 350 with one of the new Lowrance HDS-10 units. I also want to repower with a 4 stroke. Just need to find the $$$$$$$$$$

  17. I have always given notice when leaving a job. It's only right and it was how I was raised. It's not right to leave an employer short, unless that employer is a total then it's OK
  18. I have a 500 series ABU as well as 500 series Sedona and 500 series Quantum Energy PTI. The PTI is the best but also the most expensive of the bunch.
  19. 3 Months? When I started my new job 2 years ago I was put on probation for a year!!!!! I think that is because it is a management position with the government. Non- Management positions have a 6 month probationary period. But you are correct that the probationary period gives the employer an out if the new hire doesn't work out.
  20. Man, that's pretty slick. I could use one up here.
  21. I agree!!!! For an adrenaline rush I'll stick to trying to hang on to my sled when I pin the throttle or having close encounters with 1000# Grizzlies!!!!!
