  2. Hey gang,

Well started out not sure what I should do this mornin.

Was to meet a guy at Fish Ontario this AM at 7, to switch cash for vex.

Wind howlin, snow startin to blow too, I was pondering just turning around and headin back home incase the weather got worse.

Shot back out to the 400 and traffic was backed up forever south bound, so I thought what the hell, may as well go fishin.

Paid my $10 for park entry, unload and headed for the ramp. Now I've never fished IBP before, so I just struck out into the unknown. First hole was in 30' and no takers for 15 minutes of effort. So I moved in closer and was reading 17'. Non stop action, one rod, two holes drilled, had my 50 before noon. We've already got half of them ate lol. My 20 month old son just loves em.

Sure was blustery out there today with no hut! But it was worth it. I'll be back thats for sure.

So there you have it. All keepers were 9"- 11"

  3. which one would it be?

My 15 year old son and I are itchin' to get into hunting.

We're wantin to do the courses but its just so expensive.

Question is, What trail cam would you get if the opportunity arose? Looking for something under $200.

All we wanna see is the deer that inhabit our bush, as we see lots of sign.

Thing is that my Mom happens to be across the border and comes home friday, and I was thinkin that maybe she could pick us up something that maybe a good deal. I'm just not sure which would be best.

Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again,

    Brian

  4. Great going guys!

  5. My dog has been blasted twice in three years.

I found the tomatoe juice just masks the odour and when the dog gets wet you will still smell it bad

I think I used water, hydrogen peroxide and something else...... Not sure if it was dish soap or baking soda.

    GOOGLE is your friend.

    Hope this helps

  6. Hey guys and gals,

Headin up to Callendar Bay on Sunday AM for a couple days to try for some eyes.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how much ice there is? Will I need to get an extension for

the Jiffy or will it be OK without?

Has anyone been up and had any success?

    Thanks,

    Brian

  8. Hey guys and gals,

I am headin up to the Waltonian Inn for the last full weekend of fishing. It was a last minute thing as I was supposed to be busy this weekend, but thankfully the wifey is letting me get away. Man I love her. This will probably cost me BIG TIME though!!!!

So anyways I was just curious as to if anyone has been up this week and could tell me what to expect. Should be a good time and the fish will be a bonus.

Leaving at noon tomorrow so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Brian

  9. Hey Terry, I thought maybe I was going to meet you on Sunday.

There was a fellow out there with a bike exactly like yours, set up the same from what I can tell from the pictures that you have posted. Chains on the tires, windshield, back seat with the storage, and electronics to boot.

BUT it wasn't,,, turned out his name was Jim.

So Jim if you're a member here, it was nice to meet ya. And Terry maybe another time eh!

  10. Hey guys

Back again with an update. Took the unit in and it turned out to be the power cord. It had a short or something in it. So it seems that it never worked right since I bought and I just figured it out.

Anyways I have a new one now and all is well.

    Thanks OFC

  11. OK guys,

Like I said I tried it in the truck on the way home and NADDA. Went out and played with it today. Same batteries, same power cord and it works.

I put in old batteries that I knew were dead and still with the power cord NADDA. Took batteries out and left the power cord attached and NADDA.

So, I called Angling Outfitters (where I bought the unit) and Jos said that it should operate with out the batteries and told me to bring it in and he would look at it. So it seems as though Andy may be correct in saying that I need a new cord.

Gonna try and head up there this afternoon if I can, I will let you all know how I made out.

Thanks again everyone for your ideas and help.

  12. Hi Fisherman,

I'm not 100% sure. I have a spot light for the quad and it seems to work OK.

Even when I plugged it in, in the truck on the way home it still would not work.

So if this is the case, it sure is a flaw. And something that should be taken into consideration if someone is in the market for one.

    Thanks again

  13. Hi All,

Made the trip up to Gilford yesterday with a couple friends and my son. The drive was nerve racking to say the least.

Anyways, on the ice and fishing by 7:30, and the bite was steady till noon. Lots of fish but lacking in size for us. Wound up with 46 perch from 8 1/2 to 10". No real hawgs. Threw a bunch back to grow.

The fog came in really thick when we had decided to leave so I dug out my H2O GPS and the batteries were low so I plugged it in to the quad and guess what happened then??????

You guessed it NOTHING.... What is the point of having an external power source if it will not run when the batteries are low or dead? I don't understand it.

Well we did make it in ok, but let me tell ya that is a little freaky, traversing in those conditions.

Good thing I always carry a compass, thank god.

    Well thats it thats all

  14. We have an '04 or '05 up at the cottage Brian andit is a nice and stable boat. Good and wide. We really don't get rough water there but I wouldn't be bothered at all in it, in some good waves. All around great boat!! Just wish we had got a bigger motor! Opted for only a 40hp
