  1. Hi all - I have the task of wiring up the parent's boat for a trolling motor to have the battery at the back of the boat. Problem is - the bench seats are all the way to the floor so I can't run pvc/abs along underneath the floor to run the wiring.

I want to find some sort of flexible conduit that I could run along the gunwale or the bench seats up to the front of the boat.

Would anyone know of something that would work? If there is such thing as 1 1/4'' big-O or something like that it could work.

    Cheers,

    Scugog

You could use liquid tight. Its a flexible conduit. It comes in two sizes 1/2 and 3/4 and can be found an home depot.

  2. ok, I can't quite see you clearly in your avatar photo, but yes, I was talking to Vince!

Are you in the program at GBC? or already working in the trade as an apprentice?

The photo in my avatar is my dad actually and yeah I'm almost done my first year in the GBC program.

  3. My main trade is HVAC/ Refrigeration. Been doing it for almost 30 years. I teach those subjects and controls for the past 15 years. I teach all the oxy-fuel welding, cutting, soldering, and brazing for our apprenticeship programs, and have also taught some electric welding as well. We are fully set up with Lincoln equipment for all three processes of MIG, TIG, and Stick.

Good luck with your career! The trades are always a good thing to get into.

    Rattletrap2,

Were you at the cmx show a few weeks ago, I think I rember seeing you there?

how is the fishing there? cause it sucks in chemong.

The one i usually go to is called lazee acres. The fishing there is pretty good for the most part, even though last year it wasnt the greatest.

  5. well got back from Dalrymple yesterday.. not to upset.. saw a few pike.. but didnt Land any :|

also saw two tiger musky.. that was pretty cool.. as i have never seen one before. ontop of that I saw ALOT of walleye up shallow while i was hunting for Pike.. all in all not a bad day.. plenty of people out there enjoying the new regs.. and all in all just havining a good time

Was also out yesterday didnt manage to catch any pike i think the water temp was still abit to cold for them to bit, but it was still a great day to be out on the water, i wish I wore sunscreen though im feeling the burn today lol. What size were the tiger muskie?

  6. i was up there on monday for a drive... still lots of ice on the lake... the narrows are ice free though... hope that helps.

Thnaks gone_fishin, Its good to know that the narrows are ice free. I still might give it a shot on friday and hopefully the warm weather this week opened up the lake abit more to get a bit of fishing in :)

  7. I was wondering the same thing Lot's of pike in there and Crappie. I was thinking of going Friday also are you launching in the narrows?

Yeah I was because the camp grounds arent open yet. I just hope that the water levels aren't to low over there.

  8. Hey guys

I noticed that Pike is open all year in zone 17, I have caught a few pike on sturgeon and scugog and was hoping to get out on the water as soon as possible. Just wondering if there are any pike lakes or chances to hook into some ice out pike in zone 17 in April?

    Thanks!

Lake Dalyrmpal is also in zone 17 and has a lot of pike in it.

  9. I've got a Home Depot & Ronas equal distance from me and have always preferred Ronas, but now a Lowes has opened a branch right behind Ronas.

I just finished hanging 11 sheets of drywall and called all 3 stores the other day for a price on the drywall plus delivery and all were approximately $12 a sheet. Ronas & HD wanted $60 for delivery & Lowes wanted $75 to deliver the same load.

I went to the local Home Hardware lumber yard and got the sheets for only $10 and they delivered them the next day for $50

I saved $32 over Ronas & HD and $47 over Lowes.

Maybe give your local lumber yard another call :D

Lew, did you go to the home hardware on wilson?
