  1. Hey Newf,

    There is a barber in Hamilton named Frank. He has a cottage (or trailer) in camp Ashtibula and hands out their flyer if you talk about fishing while in the chair. He is a fantastic guy and knows the spots. He has been up there for ever so I am sure you'll find him by asking around.

    I am considering renting a cottage from them in fall. I will look forward to your fishing reports.

    Jim

    If you're going to judge a day on the water by how many fish you catch, you might as well be golfing.

    Thanks for the info Jim I'll be sure to ask around for Frank

  3. hey buddy,

    That was a very disapointing day on the lake... :asshat:

    The wife was pissed that i didn't bring home a feed of crappie.

    I'm thinking of calling in sick one day this week so we can try again

    but the weather looks pretty cool for the rest of the week.

  4. Hey buddy! That sure was a great day of fishing. One fish after another, you can't beat that. It sure helps when we have a local with us. The weather was also great. I can't wait till next time, maybe we will try for some jumbos.

  5. It was around 12:00 p.m. Friday I got off work early and I had an itch I needed to scratch. So I hooked up the boat to the truck and called Fishing Fool. We decided to go up to lake Dalrymple for some pike action. We were in the water by 3:30 and headed to one of our lucky spots. Within minutes Fishing fool had his first pike on. It was not long after that a 3.5 lb large mouth hammered my spinner bait. We decided to throw some husky jerks and the fun had begun. We ended up pulling in 10 pike throughout the afternoon. What an afternoon of fishing.

  6. As I stated in my intro I have rented a cottage on Pigeon lake for the weekend with the family. I have never fished the lake before and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers what type of fish are there and some techniques and baits I could use to be successful in landing a few. I'm not looking for personal hot spots just a little bit of guidance.

    much appreciated! Newfieman

  7. Hi everyone this is newfieman I'm new to the site. I have heard lots of good things about it from my friend fishing fool. Just this year I started to really get back into fishing and I guess you could say I'm hooked. I just bought a new 16' legend extreme and I try to get out every weekend with my buddy fishing fool. So far this spring we have done well on Balsome for crappie and Dalrymple. The weekend of the 20th I have booked a cottage on pigon lake with the family and l am looking forward to fishing the lake for the first time. Looking forward to chat Newfieman.{james}
