nice Bow...about the same size as the one I got today in a boat on the Niagara, was a passenger ...LOL. Was very very slow today, only seen 1 other fished hooked and there was like 20 - 25 boats out there

well this is what the whirlpool looks like right now...... if this warming trend keeps up the niagara will be unfishable for weeks maybe even into April! This pic was taken 2 days ago...it is about1km from the falls. There is an ice basically an ice bridge across the Niagara from the falls to about 2-3km downstream...locked up solid...when this lets go and Lake erie thaws...gonna be so much ice in the river it will take forever to clear out! Some of these ice bergs could possibly be 15-20 feet high, looks like I am close doesn't it...but i am not....LOL

did you end up going fishing and sharing your catch with the bears....LOL Would be cool to fish that but bears know to go there for the fish so it wouldn't be very safe! Great pics!

well with the warming conditions I think the shore ice would be very unsafe.....this year it is very uneven, its not really a cliff like most years. Was fishing Fort Erie tonight and there was ice flows coming down which will end up getting stuck in the whirlpool for a few a day or so. Personally I wouldn't venture down there for safety reasons with the ice!

I would go with the Shimano...not the ugly stick. Some float fisherman call the ugly stick the american snagger....LOL If you ever fish US Tribs you would know why they call it that, really tough rods...they line them with 50 pound test and a size 1 hook with roe bag and jig very very hard....LOL, not my cup of tea!

been to fishing world about 10 times and not once has someone even spoke one word to me. I personally think the customer service is sub-par, but maybe you have to know them to get attention. But maybe its just cause I am not in there all the time or the fact that I had dirty clothes on when I went in maybe they thought I was homeless...LOL. Nope coming from work....LOL. But I am use to going into my local tackel shops in Niagara and Fort erie who know my name. The testing of a reel doesn't happen very often so good for them on doing this!

How do you know what shaft your boat needs...I may buy one this year too...but I may go brand new, not sure yet!

got a phone call like that except for a trip....did only part of a survey online and cancelled out of it....a day later get a call for a week stay at universal studios..blah blah blah...sit in an info thing....they said it was worth $2000 and I could have it for $349 for 4 people but had to pay over the phone right htere...ya right! Do what the one person on here said leave personal crap at home!

you could always try neoprene socks to wear in your running shoes...I bought a pair and it cost me about $14 at mountain equipment co-op. I bought them mainly for extra neoprene for my waders in the winter for warmth but they keep the water out and its failry cheap, and better if you like your runners in your boat. http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail....29441.....these are it. I bought a size 9 or 10 and they are a little snug and rub on your toes...they get tender after awhile so get a size bigger than your feet or 2 sizes bigger. they will be snug in your shoes also cause of the thickness of the socks!

I have a sony handycam dvd ....and love it....love the editing and stuff you can do, and just hook it up to the dvd recorder and burn....so easy and its farely small too.

go to the kitchens and ask for shrimp....and just put on hook....thats what they were getting Baricuda on at Krystal Laguna in Cayo coco...getting them in the lagoon

as much as it is frustrating it is better than a ton of people driving like maniacs and causing many many accidents which usually happens in a storm. Sorry you had to sit thru that crap...can be real frustrating!
