  1. Hey Folks, I'm new to the group, great to be here. I've been fishing now for about 6 years, what started out as just something a buddy and I did after work casually has turned into a bit of big hobby. lol. I'm still learning the ropes particularly when it comes to targeting trout and walleye in deeper waters or from shore. I live in Fort Erie and have noticed over the last few years many of the waters out this way has become super overfished and are next to dead unless you have boat of course and can hit the deeper waters. So here is my problem, I do not have a boat but do have a Tandem Fishing Kayak. I've been looking for new place to get out and fish but have limited knowledge of the waters, I have gone out on Lake Erie a few times, however I need to be careful in doing so, weather whips up pretty fast out there and it takes time to get back to shore in a Kayak. I've tried a few smaller tributaries off Lake Erie, mostly catfish, sunfish, some baby Smallies - nothing too exciting. In all honesty it's getting a bit discouraging even going out. I understand you need to fish waters multiple times and be patient, which I do, but the only good fishing I seem to get into is when I take my canoe trips a few times a year, but I'm going 17 hours north into completely remote locations. So I wanted to ask, does anyone know any locations I can get into with a fishing kayak that has good fishing? Bass, Walleye, Pike, Trout etc. I've read a few other forums and see a lot of people talking about fishing at Long Point. Would this be a viable option in Kayak? Any tips and advice, where to go?
