Wow, that's going to take me a thousand of hours on ice to be able to interpret the chart like that.
How come you are using an ice fishing transducer instead of using the transducer that come with the kit? What were the reasons you opt the ice fishing transducer?
After some search, it seems like I’ll be getting this model or the striker 4, but how would you proactively find fish with it? Or is it more passive—like drilling a hole, checking the bottom structure, and then using the A-scope to mark fish that swim by?
Great points, I had a very unrealistic expectation. I thought I know enough, only realise it was not even the tip of the ice berg. I'm glad that so many of you share experiences here with me and I learned alot from this forum.
It is crazy as it sounds, just last night I was watching ice fishing videos at Long point and now you are mentioning it. The walk is daunting, but it is still a great place to fish if I manage the walk.
