  1. Nothing to mention. Some cheap stuff.
  2. Unfortunately,I was unable to get to the Hamilton show last week, but made it to the Newmarket one. Arrived at 7:30 to help out David to up. Seems I was a bit late, but was able to help out as much as possible. Got to look over the tables before opening, and knew what I was getting at 10 am. NO SELLING til then, not even the vendors were allowed. This was nice to see. Man,that David never seems to age. He must lead a real good healthy life. LOL Ran into a couple of ,blast of the past members from here. 1 st guy Stody ( Jamie with his wife ) Never knew he was the owner of True North Baits until a week ago. Seems this is their full time job. He has some real nice baits and what a collection I must say. The plastic is top notch. So soft, yet durable. I had to grab some to support and try. The 2nd was UNCLE BUCK ( Goran ) If it was not for his towering frame,I would not of recognized him. Dude has lost some serious weight. He looked great. #1 son had me on the look out for salmon stuff and was able to grab this whole lot for $60. Not a bad savings, I think. Been a long time since I bought this stuff. I had to treat myself as well, so I picked up a few things. nothing really special. Gave David a sample of my baits and it looks like I will be tying til the next swap . Going to grab a table next year.
  3. Oh I have seen it. I go back as far Hank Parker. LOL
  4. Seen him this winter, still the same ole George. I cant be bothered fishing for the whities, yet there he was. LOL I remember him 30 years ago, showing me his set up on a jigging rapala with flat fish wire hooks on the bottom. Never seen a better snagging set up. LMAO
  5. There was a huge crowd at the main spot. I was surprised how many there were.
  6. I personally scrutineered with some of the best and never once, do I regret it. It,s what got me to try it on my own. Being one for you well,I can watch you catch dinks after dinks all day long. LOL Looks like I hit a nerve. LMAO
  7. I just watched this 15 min video of the last day of a bass tourny in the states, RedCrest. No fish go in the live well and no nets . There is a scrutineer with the angler with an electronic scale that is linked to the main depot. Just catch, weigh and back in it goes. I have to say,I really like this and it was cool to watch. There was one time the scale would not reset right and I felt bad for the angler,as this cut into his time on the water catching another, but then again, there was the winner that had a fish weighed 3 x to get the proper weight. I dought this will happen up here anytime soon, but hope it does. I am not saying keeping in the live well is wrong, just nice to see another option to better releasing and keeping the fish from being sloshed around in the well all day. also saves racing home to get to the weigh in. Bobby lane was so over whelmed. Very cool to watch. Not the video I watched, but it shows the weighing in.
  8. I can tell ya this. Being off the last 2.5 months,it was like being retired. Get up at Lew oclock, java, tie bugs, have a nap, make dinner, bed early as I was up early. Found you do not miss much at night. LOL. Now back to work the past 4 days,I was not getting up that early. I want to sleep in. Takes a bit to get back in the work mode. LOL If that is what retirement feels like, I think when it comes full time,I am going to enjoy it. I had a good bud tell me I need to hit the swaps next year, so I will be working on the vise as much as I can til then. Might be a great retirement side kick job.
  9. It is just a leggy nymph. Legs give more jiggle/ attraction, to the bait.
  10. Yes, but I will bet crappies and perch would nail them. I have tried a few attempts at a video. I will some day for sure.
  11. With cash,I always found better deals. No tax. Some play the card,I have to charge the tax, government says so. What ever. LOL

  15. Afternoon Tom, nice to hear from you sir. I am using silly legs and sexi legs. It is a twitch bug that most guys are using now on the eastern tribs and yes, they work up here as well with the snow run off on the GBAY tribs. Great where you can find hanging over trees . I hear ya on the pheasant tail. I am making some up soon, but they will be a bead head fly style. I have a guy in Collingwood that has asked for a a dozen. They are on the next list of bugs to do. It was a 3:30 AM start this morning. Preped and got a brisket in the smoker, pot of java, and on the vise. Tied a few that I am putting feelers out on to see if they would work. If I am not mistaken,You sent me my first balance jig hooks, pins and hooks. They are long gone, but they allowed me to learn the tie. KUDOS to you for offering them up.
