  4. Lake Simcoe ice unsafe: Police Friday, March 16, 2007 - 01:12 PM By: Anne Winstanley Toronto - A warning from York Regional Police about the ice on Lake Simcoe .. stay off it. The recent warm temperatures have caused the ice to deteriorate, leaving areas of open water along the shoreline. Police say a vehicle that was attempting to cross the lake this morning near Virginia Beach just north of Pefferlaw, plunged through the ice. The driver was not injured and was able to get out safely. All ice fishing huts were to be removed from the lake by midnight last night. York Regional Police is urging residents to follow these safety tips: - Wear proper flotation attire and clothing when participating in a water-related activity - Tell someone about your plans and specifically where you are going - Know the condition of the ice or water before you go out and take into consideration the recent changes in the weather may have had on the ice - Be suspicious of gray, dark or porous spots in the ice as these may be soft areas. Ice is generally strongest where it is hard and blue. For more information, please contact the Marine Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7320, or visit www.yrp.ca.

  6. You lose a bearing cover, the grease will fly out of there like nothing. The cap keeps the grease in.I do have a tip for you though, just incase you do lose a cap. Cut a beer can in half, keep it in the trunk. If you ever lose a bearing cap, just put that half a beer can on with some Red Green Special duct tape.Dont laugh,It saved us once. All the way from Nip to Barrie. Im not sold on the oil bath idea. They blow out on the big rigs as well. IMO.

  17. Hello Mart, welcome to the board. Have we met? I will be fishing the CSFL Western Series as well as a couple 115,s with my oldest son. As of right now,I want to fish the CFT 115 Bog tourny, just waiting for a confirmation from another angler. Steve I leave the bussiness part back with the sponsor. For someone as myself just starting to get a few years under his belt,I am thankful for what ever I can get from a sponsor.Ko-Man-Chi Baits has selected a few Ontario guys and gals to try and get thier product out in this province. What they offered me in return to me is a very fair deal. Will it lead to more, one never knows. Like I had mentioned long before,I have sponsors that just give to help with the pocket dollars and ask for nothing in return, but I put out from my own pocket a few dollars to pay for some decals I have made up as a token of my appritation, and have them on my boat and truck. Im not holding out for any big deal. I am in it for the fun and living out a long time dream.Sponsors just make it a little more easier to enjoy. Terry you know your always welcome in my boat, heck I,ll even give you the bow seat.
