Well it is time for the annual fishing trip to nip with the Father in law and my two brother in laws. This will probably be the last trip for the father in law as he just can't handle the cold like he use to. Hope he enjoys it this year, even with all the rain they are calling for. Just wondering how the fishing has been lately and if the walleye have moved in to the shallower water yet. I would like to try for some musky and pike this year just for the fun of getting onto something a little more scrapier! Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been to the area in some time, but I am just wondering if anyone has recently for the salmon. How it has been and if the launch is still there at Cedar Point? Are they still ripping people off for that mediocre launch. I would like to give it a go as it was great fishing up there, until they changed the boat launch with the rocks and I couldn't pull my boat out of the water without getting hung up on the concrete dropoff! North side of Lake Simcoe is good if the wind is from the North or north west. Rob C

Well I was there on the Long weekend with 15 other guys playin poker and fishing! We had a great time, Pia and Alfons are the best at making you feel welcomed. We caught walleye, pike and OOS bass. Lots of fish within 1/2 mile of the resort and you could get in behind the island for shelter if you could get around stormy point. Start out deep in the day and move in by the islands in the evening as that is what the walleye will do. Have a great time and make sure you order the breakfast as it was awesome and they will make sure you are well fed! Rob

Well this Wayne guy knows his stuff, and I know he gets about 2 to 3 questions a week on a lot of the same things regarding aluminum and aluminum boats. Is there a place where a "how to" can be pinned and all of Wayne's excellent tips can be copied and pasted, that way many questions can be answered for him. What do you think Mods? Rob C

I stayed at that same and the only lodge on that lake. No luck. Food was great though and Joe is a very nice guy. But I have a feeling that the lake was fished very hard over the years and has not been able to replenish itself. Good luck and let us know how you did. Rob C
