  1. Hello all. Looking forward to getting out in my kayak this season for some fishing. Relatively recent purchase and I tend to go out in the warm weather and summer months. Have the urge and need to go in the Spring this year. Someone at my work told me you shouldn’t go in a kayak without a wet/dry suit unless the water is over 60 degrees. Is there a specific temperature people use for safety in the event one capsizes? If it is 60 degrees when would lakes like Pigeon or Buckhorn hit that temperature? Thanks in advance.
  2. Appreciate the info! Only stuff I could find on it and Jumping Cariboo was the same. Terrible fishing about 10 years ago. For those who have fished for decades, should I assume it is still like that or do lakes go through cycles?
  3. Hello all. First post after reading the forum for a year or so. Great info on the site and I am wondering if anyone can share thoughts about fishing at Angus Lake or Marian Lake up past North Bay. Looking to get some Spring fishing in this year. Thanks
  4. Thanks Andrew. I am in the East end of Toronto and those spots are all within easy drive. I also greatly appreciate the map book. I have been using the net to find launches but would love to sneak into some less busy areas.
  5. Excellent info and great places to start! Much appreciated.
  6. Getting into fishing again and without a cottage or boat, decided a kayak would allow some freedom of movement and more success than shore fishing. Looking for information on no motor lakes or any other tidbits people feel comfortable to share with a newbie. Thanks.
