  1. That's nice of u Garnet but u kinda missed the point . This was a charter putting his boat in the water with 2 of his crew . The wind and the current wasn't affecting his boat parked in front of the launch while he prepared his boat blocking the launch instead of doing it in a staging area .
  2. U would think it would b simple .. he had his ladder out to climb in and out of the boat . He wasn't moving for anybody
  3. Well just this am we had a Charter proceed to back in block the launch and prep his boat .I was not impressed as he should no better But he didn't care 1 but that he was being a dik. Same happened on the way out . This.cat and his buddy pulled the boat out just enough that the trailer and boat have enough room to walk around and proceed to take all the gear off and get there poop in a group ..and they wonder y people snap. Common sense is very common.
  4. All the best !! nothin better then breakin ice
  5. The good ole saying .. whatever floats ur boat
  6. Hey Bill .. yes I have lots of times outta top of the line console boats .. iam not saying they aren’t nice . When it’s raining and crappy u trolled and stayed dry ..perfect ..that’s what works for u ..iam just saying if u want a boat for fishabilty u can’t beat a tiller.. if ur makin long runs on big water ya can’t beat a console .. I just prefer fishing out of tiller because u can adapt to a lot more situations better .. just my opinion
  7. I would suggest if u have a tiller and want a console boat to sell ur tiller and buy a console .. cheeper then pissin around trying to convert 1 way or other
  8. I don’t think there is no such thing as the perfect boat .. But I do think a tiller is as close as it gets.Yes full windshield all covered in would b nice but how do u fish properly? If it’s windy u have a sail and pushes the boat . If ur trolling and u gotta stick it tight a tiller is the only way to go .. drifting the same .. I guess if ur old and can’t keep warm in a tiller u r probably just trolling under the canopy ... long runs on a open lake ya dress like ur goin on the snowmobile...jiggin trolling casting drifting and staying vertical a tiller is downtown..But that’s just my opinion
  9. I also believe it has a lot to do with fish ability.. i run a 18 tiller and love it!! If I could afford it I would go with a big glass tiller with a 250 on it .Also hope I can fish out of a tiller until I can’t fish anymore ..
  10. Anybody noticed any lakes turning over yet?
  11. Motor height is crucial as I believe most motors are mounted to low . Ur motor should cavitation in a hard turn at full speed with motor trimmed . That being said a good boat operator knows this and will trim down in a turn . Max rpms also very important .i would go down 1 size in pitch and that will up ur rpms by about 200 .aluminum props can also get wore and just flex to much .. just my 2 cents
  12. I generally fish throughout the water column. because that’s where the fish are 😀 sry couldn’t resist
  13. Hey Akrisoner Nice if u to post ur experience... I also have gone for a few polar dips with good outcomes and being prepared is the key as Josh mentioned .. as for ch312 he’s a know it all ... in his own mind cheers ..
  14. Long point bay 1/4 inch lol
  15. Hey mike go with ur gut ... ur fishing a big flow U know well ...most other posts are mentioning a lake ... u r fishing an entirely different beast with no fall turnover ... ur on the rite track
