  1. Headed out for a few hours Monday night to a "Lake Huron trib", & managed only 1 salmon (11 1/2 lbs) & lost a nice brown.....lots of fish jumping!

Also, went trolling outta Port Credit last week, but only managed 2 'bow's, biggest about 6 lbs, & 2 small Chinook, with 5lbs being the biggest (I know, pretty pathetic in size, but it tasted good & sure beat a skunk!)

Maybe, "barefootwader" can post his pics of the bow's when he reads this!!

  2. Check the MTX website, or Rockford, or Sony, whichever you want to get, and see about getting a pre-fab box that will fit under your rear seat! You can get the box's empty or already loaded with sub and built in amp. 'm not a fan of Sony subs or amps myself, but I know for a fact they make pre-fab's for full size Dodge & Ford pick ups and I'm quite sure MTX do as well! Worth a look.

  3. The Thames has a pretty good year round walleye fishery....you just have to find them! As previously stated it is also a damn good Smallmouth Bass fishery, as well as Pike, Crappie, Rock Bass, Channel Cats, Gar Pike, Rainbow & Browns...and you might get lucky with a Musky or 2,although seems pretty rare near London now a days, but I have heard of them caught before!

  4. I agree w/ Cudz....especially fishing the Thames, the crayfish colour lipless cranks work wonders on the smallies! But to sum it up, everything you've shown tonight will catch smallies, & pretty well every other fish around here! You got urself a good arsenal....the only other suggestions I have is to add a few spinnerbaits, & some plastics (tubes & grubs) to the mix...& most definately use some larger sized cranks & jerkbaits (size 8 & 10) as well! Oh ya, I also like to carry a few spinners with me too....just in case

  5. For the price you did just fine! I'm not sure about the spinning reels, but the Pinnacle baitcaster's suck in my opinion! I bought one a couple years ago & it didn't even last 1 season! Anti-reverse & the breaking system went on it..

  6. I agree that they are a rip off! I really only go to CT if there's a "supposed" sale to see what they got..99% of the time I leave disappointed & disgusted at their prices! Hell, I've noticed even wally mart has uped the prices on their fishing equipment! ex. A spinnerbait I could buy last year for $4.99 is now $9.69!

Unless I come across a good deal, or really need something, you won't see me shoppin at these places!

Hey FM, maybe you can tell me, what's the deal on the Clackin Raps? Why so expensive? Just cuz they are new? CT here has them for $14.99 & WM sellin'em for about $11

  7. My buddy & I made it out on Simcoe last Saturday for the first time this year & also our first time fishing "trout grounds" & although it was windy & cold & fishing was slow....I did manage to catch 1 laker pushing 30", Which just so happens to be my first laker ever! :thumbsup_anim: & to top things off, I caught it on my 24" UL setup...which was a blast! I also caught a nice sized ciscoe & my buddy got about a 4lb whitefish. Both the ciscoe & laker were released!

Pic is kinda crappy as it was taken with my phone & the fish was moving LOL

  8. I definately agree on how crappy CT is with their "Sale Items"...& most of the time when they do get the item in stock, it's something entirely different then what was advertised! (like the floater suits from last month).... I had actually picked up one of those sleds here in St Thomas, last Tuesday (they had 3 of them) I paid full price for it, & to my suprise it went on sale in the new flyer. So i took my reciept in & they refunded the balance. That's about the best experience i've had with CT in a long while!
