  1. Same thing happened here. my wife ordered a "king" jacket mid november ish for me for xmas. Nothing, then promised it would be delivered after xmas. Nothing not even an email unless we contacted them. Sorry the items arent in yet was all we got. Finally close to the end of Januaray we recieved the item.

Heard a few stories like yours and mine. Better to buy fishbum merch from outlets like bass pro or where ever, that way it will say if its in stock or not, rather from the site itself.

That said, the do carry a great product and the price point for there product is spot on imo.

  2. How was the fight? If it jumped, it's an Atlantic. If not, it's a Brown.

    There, it's settled.

hahaha thats what i thought...i always thought that the fight of an atlantic was 6 feet below and 6 feet above the surface. This thing bulldoged. I was just looking through my scott and crossman freshwater fishes of canada (which i should have done before), and its a brown

    thanks everyone for the help

  3. I recently caught and released this gorgeous 27 inch fish. At first i thought it was a brown but more and more i am thinking its and atlantic.

it was caught in Lake Superior out in front of the Michipicoten.

  4. Pick you battles.....i would try to teach the difference between hunting and animals that have lived free and animals that end up in the grocery store?

You are definitly in a tough spot, but i think overall support is what she will probably need.....although us dad do need to stick together

  5. I am about to make wine for the first time, and my wife's uncle told her to be careful of a few things.

First off, she is pregnant with number 2 and i know there will be a smell associated with the process, but how bad will the smell be and will it actually have an effect? The comments kind of worried her, this with her hesitations of me doing this, isn't boding well for me. She doesn't want the house smelling like a winery for 2 months.

I remember my dad making wine when i was young, but never remember a strong smell, only when he was transferring to the carboy's or bottling.

    Thanks

  6. i think why the moose count seems to be low, or why hunters are not seeing more like they use to, is due to logging. in the past most hunts were done around clear cuts, new and old logging roads etc. with the decline in the wood industry here in Ontario we have seen an almost dead stop in logging. That being said hunters are now forced to hunt roads, and the chance of seeing them in a 25 foot long corridor surrounded by thick bush......its hard.

But i have a strong belief that the moose numbers around my area are not suffering at all.

  7. Moose hunting for me is about meat and food for the table. I take pride in not purchasing beef at the grocery store. On occasion when my wife wants to make chili will we buy ground beef, but that is the extent of it. All other red meat we eat is moose. Moose hunting will never be about the "bling" or the sport of it, is it fun and connecting with nature and others....absolutely! There are years where we go without harvesting one, but i am fortunate to be part of a great trio that will get called for road kills....in other words, moose is a way of life for us that we have dived head first into.

Us legal sportsmen, hunters and fisherman included like it was stated before, we need to stick together
