  1. your probably right wayne, "i should stop being tighter than two coats of paint" and buy the right one. it just pisses me off i hit a rock at the bay of quinte traveling 2-3 miles per hour while i was having a pee. my buddy took the wheel i was facing the back of the boat an i heard clunc, clunk, bang, crunch. the prop was dinged on all three blades.we were in 25 feet of water he was getting his rod ready and did not look at the finder.
  2. i have a 19 foot harber craft with a suzuki 150 hp four stroke. the prop size i have on now is working well i hit my 6000 rpm and im getting about 53-56 mph according to my gps. im looking at buying another prop because my prop got dinged and i want a new one. if i need a new one it will cost me about $600 i found a couple on ebay that are the same pitch but different diameter so i have a 14 1/2 x 25 and i found a 13 3/4 x 25 for $200 i also found a 4 blade propeller 14 x 25 for $ 220. so this why im asking. will these props make a huge diffrence.
  3. what if i keep the same pitch but change diameter by 1/2 an inch ??
  4. ok.. is there a general rule of thumb when it comes to down sizing and up sizing your propeller diameter and pitch. i have a suzuki -150 and it takes a 14.5 x 25 propeller now works perfect. i know if i change to a 13 3/4 x 25 this will increase my rpm's but by how much??. i would also like to purchase a (4blade) prop size 14 x 25 will this increase my rpm's or decrease and by how much. looking for the experts here.. thanks

  10. Hi guys was out on lake temagami and i see you heard from wayne(irish fields) that we finally met. yes it was hard to get a hold of each other due to bad cell signals but we managed. I did not get much time to fish with wayne but the whole operation out there was for us to meet. Wayne put us on some spots that we should try and of corse he catches we dont and in 15 feet of water. i started out in 30 and moved out into about 48 and still no action, i did mark a few but that was it. we then moved down the lake to a spot i fish in the summer months and sometimes in the winter months. we did not do well there even though we only spent about half hour or so there..all in all it was nice to finally meet wayne and for all of you who have not met him, i can tell you he is a real nice guy. will spend more time with him in temagami for sure in years to come. here are some fish from one mornings catch, we gave the fish some beer too its only fair nice laker picture of wayne taking pictures of me and my gang we fished some back lakes for specs but had no luck.. lots of snow on back lakes picture of wayne making some soup, had close the hut do to strong winds.. here we are night time fishing for walleye, we got a few all small but tasty a shot of the sun behind the trees and the walleye fishing begins all in all it was a great trip once again with the gang and it was nice to meet new friends out on my favorite lake . will be back first week of june this time it will be soft water that dont stop the fishing for me. hope you enjoyed the report..

  14. Now thats what im talking about
  15. im the guy on bear island so you can count on me wayne.. .. This "cant come" do to work stuff or "wife wont let me go" crap is starting to become sickning I had to make up an escape for one of the guys comming up with me this trip.. His wife was giving him a hard time about going up due to the new baby who is now 1 and lots of work .. So here was the plan to get him to come..for the last month or so our buddy was telling the wife he was feeling stressed with work and feeling kinda down also, he moped around the house and acted like he was in a bad way.. this is where i come in . i phoned his wife one evening made some small chat and eventually asked her if she had noticed my buddy acting in a funny way.. she said yes she did notice that my buddy was kinda down, i then mentioned to her that maybe a little break might help to cheer him up and she kinda agreed, so guess who is comming again this year yup thats right John my buddy.. so you see if you wanna go you can find ways to go..For the ladies reading this, yes we will do almost anything to go fishing with the guys..for the guys reading this get out there take a few days off find a way. call me if you need help
  16. I have found them in the usual places .. I always move around on simcoe I have about 30-40 spots gps and the lake is loaded with whities .. This year is 92 feet it's the magic number I was home by 10:30 this morning caught my fish in 20 min it took me longer to get out set up and drive back so all I can say is find them and you will kill them I have always moved around on single I hate being in a hut
  17. i have learned my lesson with crappy boat's so i went a bought a harbercraft (B.C).. yes cost more but what a boat its solid and handles water great, best boat i have ever owned and i've owned many. most the boats i have owned have had problems with screws always comming loose or falling out. the biggest problem i had was water entering hull from some rivet or crack..this boat is bone dry and the best part of this boat is it has a life time warrenty which is not pro rated, also transferable to the new owner, now thats awsome..here are a couple of picks look at the window frame and console it is welded not screwed in like most boats even most welded boats have thier consoles screwed in
  18. in the 1950s GM was the biggest employer in north america.. families were doing fine with 1 income.. today wallmart is the biggest employer ..try making wallmart the only income in your family today..
  19. im calling in dead again..
  20. will be out again in the morning smashing the whities, same spot should produce.. if anyone is out tomorrow i will see you there bright and early...
  21. hey gino if you want some nice lakers i would suggest fishing just off of bear island north of mels market. if you would like walleye then try the evening fishing by rabbit nose and if you would like to be close to loon lodge then fish by the broom islands i have caught many lakers there, through all seasons. start at the island there is a shoal and work your way away from the island till you find fish on fish finder then get ready to catch..i like orange sweedish pimples they work well for me in this area..oh and a little meat on the hooks always works well in temagami..hope this helps..
  22. nice catch emil, tastes better when you earn it
  23. ok ..was out today and found them again between 82-85 feet of water. left my camera phone back at the house. i was north west of the fox shoal on the big water, there is lots of ice on the big lake, i found 6 inches and mostly 10 inches. also starting to see people setting up their huts out on the big lake. again i looked for them for a couple of hours and then i found them and caught limit in 10 min.. so for those of you who had trouble getting them this year, get out there and get em.. have fun and be safe
  24. i meant tommorow not (tom)..lol .. i called in dead
