  1. is your caps lock stuck?

Thats the way he is, has been doing that as long as I've known him. He told me once why but I've forgotten the reason. Think it has something to do with seeing the screen.

  2. Just watched it this morning. It was his own fault, Tony had a fender on him and he drove right across and spin himself out. I am amazed at the strength of those damn cars. Bush was hit hard three separate times, nose, rear and drivers door. He got out and was all mad, didn't even look like it fazed him. Had that oh well just another day at the office look about him.

  3. Their coding is pretty tight. The only real loophole in the permissions is through the photo albums. If you disallow comments on photos you are as secure as can be.

Most of the people I work with are on it and only one person got into any trouble..he doctored images of the corporate president and posted them in a not very flattering way...but our big bosses ignore it. I have had meetings with them about all the social networking stuff and it became policy they would leave it so that employees could vent or not feel watched over.

There is a reason I am asking which will become apparent as time goes by.

    That's good to know.

Now why would someone doctor a picture of their boss and put it on Facebook. Sounds like a pretty dumb move to me.

  4. i am there to....good to keep in touch with friends from years ago. Just watch what you put on there. Employers are searching the site to nail there employees or future employees.

Just lock down your privacy settings for friends only, but I'm sure there are ways around that. I have my mom on there plus I'm too boring to have anything incriminating to worry about. :D :D

  5. Well I finally got the boat wet this year. Beat the prop as straight as I could with a rubber mallet and my wood working bench :o:lol: . No money in the budget for a new one right now. It worked pretty good I think, the speed is higher than it was last year.

I took out my buddy Scott. Not the one we know here, Canadian Copper although he should have come, he was texting me all day  . This Scott is One Hundred and Eighty degrees from CC in the fishing department. He is happy to just put a bobber on a line with a worm and kick back. Where as CC is so serious it gets pretty scary at times  .

This is how the day started, Super Ham getting warmed up.

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBond-5.jpg

I got the ball rolling back in the proper direction with this one. The next one wasn't to bad either.

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBond-4.jpg

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBond-3.jpg

The next thing I know there is celebrating from the back of the boat only to see this!

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBond-2.jpg

Unfortunately my luck was heading towards the small side 8O , the guy in the back was rubbing off!

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBond-1.jpg

The day couldn't get boring with Scott around getting this worked up over bait.

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBondy00.jpg

    PicturesonthewallFishingwithBondy01.jpg

All and all it was a good day out with a good friend. I can't help but think of all the laughing that would be going on if I got both Scott's in the boat at the same time. One would die laughing at the bobber and worm approach and the other would piss himself at the tantrum from a missed hook set.

  6. No one gets to take anyone on with charges like that unless there is some evidence somewhere.

I don't know about that, a guy I knew was accused by his 14yr old step-daughter. The only evidence was her word. Went through all the police, court and laywer stuff. I had a hard time believing it but who knows? He had a good job in the government driving around an Ontario Minister, lost it. Basically his life was trashed and 6 months later she said he didn't do anything, she was just trying to get her mothers attention because mom was focused on him too much. Charges dropped. The problem is he has been painted with that brush and no amount of cleaning will get it off, some think he did something still and others don't. Last I heard he moved somewhere up north to escape all the finger pointing. Sad for all involved.

As for Mikey, I think the hush money for the first kid was a big mistake. IF he didn't do anything it just opened the doors for others to come along and try and get their piece of the pie. I believe there are some out there that would stoop to that level and use their kids as a stepping stone to a better life which is almost as bad if not worse.

  7. Why the guilt over Stern? I love him, hope he doesn't retire. Some like him , some don't, no big deal.

I'd put money on the antenna. I've had mine for four years and have replaced three of them. Called customer service, complained and they gave me one. The third went on a Florida trip and I ended up buying one down there for the trip home. No way I was going to drive twenty hours without Stern, Blue Collar or the Nascar channel. My radio's tell tale sign of the thing dying is the hunting for a signal and it just keeps getting worse over time, longer and longer 'Aquiring Signal' messages till it doesn't work at all.

The guy I talked to said they were having quality issues with those antennas. So give them a call, it can't hurt. The one they sent was two years ago but I'm sure if you say you might give up your subscription because of it they might help you out. The antenna's aren't cheap, almost worth buying a new receiver  .

  8. Take the job, you always find better opportunities while you work. The only thing to keep tabs on is if he pays you on time, if he doesn't pay you on your agreed time and date, then leave as fast as you can. I was strung along by a guy once, took a bit of a hit but found a better job by being there in the first place so I guess it evened out in the end.

  9. I've been operating various machines for over 20yrs (Man where did the time go!) and was self taught with some guidance and by watching a skilled guy on a machine and how they tackle a job. I haven't seen one person come out of those schools that has even the slightest clue of how to work the machine to make money or even how to tackle a job in the first place. All they seem to be taught is how to drive the machine, I could teach my mom how to drive my CAT excavator and I would only charge half as much :D . It takes seat time and on the job experience to be an operator and luck of the draw to find a owner to take the time and lost production to teach you how to operate. You can tell in 5 minutes whether someone has a clue or has potential to become something better.

The problem I have is these places they blow smoke up their butts telling them they are ready to go out in the world and get a job running an excavator and make top dollar. Not in the real world, even more so this year, I have friends that are still off from their winter lay-off and they have experience. My boss will hire them but they start at the bottom as someone has already stated. Run the roller, bobcat and when a job doesn't need either speed or accuracy they can jump in a blade or even the Ex and get a better feel for it. The ones that want to learn stick around and the one's that think they are gods gift are still out there looking for a good steady job. Companies can't afford to have $300,000 machine taking 10 minutes to load a truck while 15 other trucks at $80 dollars an hour are waiting to be loaded.

The money they charge is criminal for what they get in return. The false hope they are given that you are going to have no trouble finding a job and a great paying one at that is just not realistic but I guess as long as the school gets their money that's all that counts. These days there are a lot of good operators out there waiting to get a call back, still. So with little or no experience, the job search will be that much tougher.

  10. Is that a Springbok. It looks like mine. Only I removed the wooden floor and all the carpeting except the front tip. It weighed a ton

No it was a Smokercraft. Everything you see he did himself. It was just a three bench, bare aluminum boat. He was cheap, on the other hand his son would rather buy one already finished and pay a little more.

It was heavy to the point were we couldn't just lift it off the trailer but she moved us 'little' guys along at a pretty good clip.

  11. There's a lot wrong with unions...but the only thing worse than belonging to a union, is NOT belonging to a union.

   You are damn right their is a lot wrong with today's unions. They fought for all of today's standards I'll give you that but it has turned most long time workers into lazy arrogant and full of entitlement pickerheads. No one has a right to a good job, you have to earn it and work to keep it.

I'm sorry but you should be judged on your performance not how much time you have on the job. I see too much abuse of this because if layoff's happen they know they still have a job so they screw around with no fear. Put in an honest days work and you will be rewarded. Works for me, work hard all summer and in the winter the boss keeps me busy even if it doesn't pay him because I make him money in the good times and I guess they want to keep me around :dunno: and others in the company are on UI , wonder why?

To many around me took the General for granted and now they helped kill the golden goose and they are all freaking out. I guess the backyard BBQ's will have a little less bragging about the easy life at the Motors. Don't get me wrong I feel bad for them and I hope they land on their feet but they were also part of the problem if the "Against Management and Ain't my job attitude" I witnessed was part of the culture there. Can't hate your company that much and produce a good product.

It should be let go and we will see what comes out of the ashes.

  12. haha im liking you idea "troutologist".

I am so used to fishing out of a canoe / john boat .. by paddleing wich is a key way to fish .. but with the thought of HP on the brain i all of a suddn wanna go fast , i realise a 30hp will defenetly still skoot me from here and there ..

but yes , thanks every one i guess i needed a second opinion !

i appreciate every ones help , if i get the 40hp i will most likely trade / sell as i would like to keep this boat around as long as i can ,

    thanks again !

    a fellow angler

    Fish-miester,

My dad's old 14 foot boat had everything you want with a tiller 25 Evinrude and for the size it was fast and scary.

In this picture it didn't have the Minkota yet and you can't see the motor. He made a bunch of compartments, it shows the bow and one side. It was a good little boat and he loved it. We had a lot of great times in that thing.

  13. Cant wait for next weekend.Who will we talk about next? LOL

I'm sure someone will pull a bonehead move and we can bicker about that! Then again it's Cali next week isn't it? I'll have a hard time staying awake, those 1 1/2 milers are a snooze fest. It's a tape and fast forward race for me.

I think every one missed the BIGGEST POINT its at 8-10 sec in you can clearly here them and it sure did make my day the wife and I were both cheering when they said KYLE BUSCH in the wall.

at the 2:30 in is the replay and you can see that the first hit was Vickers coming down on him and Vickers also went below the line that is a huge block. if ya look at the hit Jr did not catch him by much.

I think thats racing and Yes I like both drivers maybe Vickers has a problem with Hendrick?

It does suck that JJ got some of it but man what a great feeling to know BUSCH was wrecked I liked this kid when he first started but he sure did become a huge A$$ in the last two seasons which made me change my mind on him now I would love to see him in the wall each week.

Glad JJ had a bad day, he needs to stop winning everything and let someone else have a chance LOL. Actually I was surprised they couldn't figure out the car like they usually do.

  14. You all think were talking trash,ya got to see what thier all talking about on youtube.

Seems there are alot of different views there Lowrider.

    I,ll go with this one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Man! Just be honest people! It was BOTH Vickers and Jr.s fault. I like Vickers, but I admit that was his fault also, but dont blame him only because you dont want to blame Jr.

This is very civil compared to That's Racing forums, those folks over there are just nuts on both sides. At least here we can discuss the actions of these guys without the blinders on. It takes two to tango.

  15. Like I said Wayne

Did anyone say anthing when Kyle was doing the nasty blocking at the begining?????????? Thats when he should of said yer done. PUSH or is that nudge, him out of the way, btw,we all know that would of been a pay back from last year and a black eye on the 88.

After all that,it,s a blurr

Your right Kyle was doing some serious lane changes yesterday but the difference was he didn't wipe out the front of the field. Last I checked blocking is allowed and Kyle got lucky someone wasn't frustrated behind him and spun him out.

I watched the replay on Youtube today, Jr hit him twice if you watch the 88's roof cam about 2:30 in.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nFE9ZXmgIs

The first got Vicker's in the Red Bull sticker (left rear) and the second he sideswiped the rear bumper coming across and finished him off. If he backed off after the first maybe it would have been different story I think that's why most people are saying it isn't a racing deal. Even his biggest cheerleader DW , as well as Larry Mac were saying it was wrong on the video.

  16. Not fair. He did his work.Just look at his busch series. Won the 500 in less time then his pop.Bud shoot out. Like I said before,he dont get the help out there, as they all know,he the one to beat.If there wasn,t that rain out,he was there.Thats just how fast he was.

If Dale SR was still around,ya can bet these young cocky guys wouldnt be driving like they are now. They be there saying/thinking.when is he going to make the move,or make me move???????????

THATS WHAT IT,S ALL ABOUT. If yer slow,ya got to go,,,,,,,,,,,,,to the sideways.

No offence Misfish, when is he the one to beat? Today? He hasn't done much since Busch.

Best season was what 2003? Third in points?

-He's been in Cup 11 years and only has won 18 points races.

-Tony Stewart has been in the same amount of time has 33 points wins and two championships I believe.

-Matt Kenseth has been in one more year than JR, has 17 pts. wins and a championship.

-Kurt Bush has been in ten yrs has 18 pts wins and a championship. Even his little brother Kyle is at 12 pts wins in six yrs and was looking good for last yrs championship for a while.

-What about that old man J Gordon, 18 yrs, 81 pts wins and four championships.

-How bout that J Johnson kid been racing for nine years in Cup, has 40 pts. wins and I think three Championships. In a row to boot.

So again misfish, compared to his peers he is at the bottom of the stack but at the top of the popularity charts why???

Something to do with the last name???? It must be cause it ain't his driving. You're right if the old man was still around to kick some :asshat: , that kid would be doing alot better and he would still be at DEI.

Either way it doesn't excuse his bonehead move today, not good to lose your cool at a 190mph.

  17. "I'll bump you".

The jackass might regret that statement when Nascar considers his suspension.

Suspension! Are you kidding, IF and a big IF he gets one it will be a slap on the wrist. Is he not the one that spun himself out in Atlanta a few years ago to get a caution he needed. The only reason he got probation was he was dumb enough to broadcast it over the radio.

In the after race interview, you could see him lying through his teeth, he's usually a cool as a cucumber. He dumped Vickers out of pure frustration because this morning he left his brain in the hauler and screwed up some pit stops costing him positions. I don't entirely blame him though, his crew chief was asleep at the switch. The offical was waving to him to stop and put the car in the box but they continued on, costing a lap. Also doesn't the crew count down for the driver as he gets closer to his pit?

Remember we are talking about the Fan favorite who has hardly accomplished anything unlike others of his peer group but gets all the attention because of his last name. :whistling:
