  1. Hi Len- The crossover vote did work. But I guess not in OH / TX. Take Care.
  2. Just putting the feelers out again on Savant Lake. If anyone has info on access to the lake, please send me a private message. Thank you.
  3. Hello- Looking for anyone who has any info on Savant Lake. I am interested in going up there for a week this summer. We like to tent camp, so I was wondering if there is a navigable road into the lake. We take a couple of 16ft w/ 25horse motors and are strickly catch and release exept for a few 17" walleyes for dinner. Private message me if you need to. Any info / advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  4. Hello. Anyone know anything about Clay Lake? I fished there about 20 years ago. Stayed at Northstar Lodge. Just wondering if there is a public boat landing on the lake to launch your boat to fish on your own w/o going through the resort. Let me know if anybody knows anything.
  5. Hello. I was happy to find this message board. I am hoping that some of you might be able to point me in the right direction. For the last 10 years, 4 of us from Wisconsin, USA have been driving up to a group of lakes to the east of Ignace, Ontario. We enjoy the tent camping and the remote setting this area gives us. The fishing is only for Walleye, Northern and some Lake Trout. The fishing has been fair, but getting tougher and tougher every year. I am not sure of the reason of the decline. What I am asking of you is not to give me an exact spot, but maybe point me in the right direction for a group of lakes that has quality fishing but VERY REMOTE. We love the solitude of Ontario. Any info would be a great help. If you don't want your info spread on the board, just send me a private message. Thank you. P.S. I posted looking for info on Lake of the Woods also. I figured the lake is so large that we may be able to find an area that is not use that much. So any info would be great.
  6. Thank you for the tip. We have been camping on crown land for the last 15 years and are aware of the camping fee. What areas are you familiar with. I am pretty much open to anything, just looking for smallmouth, walleye and pike in an area where we can tent camp. Thank you.
  7. I was wondering if anyone could give me info on an area of Lake of the Woods you might recommend for me. We have been going up to Canada for the last 15 years in early June to an area north of Ignace, Ontario. We would like to get into some smallmouth bass fishing. We don't like the resort setting, rather we like to find islands and tent camp. I have found out that non-residents to Ontario (seeing I am from the states) are allowed to camp on most of the crown land of Lake of the Woods. We would mainly be after bass, walleye and pike. Is there an area of the water you might recommend for the fishing / Camping I am looking for? Any suggestes would be great. You can private message me if you wish. Thank you.
