It's not around anymore by the Canadian Sportfishing Angler of the Year. I almost won the youth angler of the year back in the day.

We got one last year and love it. Ninja 2 quart is the one I have. Easy to use and easy to clean.

100 years from now people will be saying "People actually used to go out on the ice and fish"

Thanks for posting Lew

Hello gentlemen,
Just purchased a Briggs and Stratton 8000w generator. I've never had one before. Any advice on it would be great. I ran it yesterday and the wife could smell the gas in the house. That's probably because it was right up to the house. Im going to build a little enclosure for it and move it further away from the house. Not sure if it's necessary but I'm putting in fuel stabilizer in everytime and am going to run it for 10 minutes a month. Just want to get max life out of it. I haven't hooked anything up to it yet but I got 2 50' extension cords and am planning on getting 2 100'. Extension cords are not cheap.

Crazy stories. What would you guys recommend for ice fishing outfits? A lot of times I've been going out there hasn't been anybody else out there with me. Not sure if anyone would be able to hear me.

Ya that's a giant. How deep were you?
-
Ya that's a fox. There sound is not as strong as say a coyote or bigfoot.

I got nothing really to brag about YET, but what are some of the big ones you've caught on the ice gentlemen. Pics would be nice too.

Just an update on my recent trip on the ice for 3 nights. Unfortunately nothing big was caught. Ending up landing 6 lakers and 7 burbot. Lost a few but I don't think they were big. Had a few hits too and you never know what that could of been🤔. 30lb pike lol. Within my area one guy caught a 31" walleye and another guy caught a 33" walleye the ice hut operator mentioned.

Must be a tournament going on. Brings me back in time thinking about my first ice fishing tournament on Simcoe. Just a teenage and looking down the hole and seeing a huge burbot circling my minnow. I would of won a truck I think if I caught it.

Been out lots. On Monday I start a solo 4 full days out on the ice. I feel for you all waiting for the ice to form on Simcoe. Moving up north definitely change things for me when it comes to fishing. So many back lakes.

Had one, got rid of it. Having the cable hanging down the hole was a PITA. Fish would make a run and wrap the line around the cable, or swim up to the camera and ignore the bait. I went back to a flasher, gives me all the information I need.
That is definitely my worry. I did have a few problems so far but luckily nothing got tangled. I seem to be drilling the camera hole further from my fishing hole every time out. The further the better I think.

Hello gentlemen. For Christmas I got a underwater camera and couldn't wait to use it. Just moved up north and I went out the last couple days and got a little action on both days. Caught my first laker through the ice which wasn't big, but my biggest fish through the ice. Much different fight then the perch on Cooks. I definitely recommend one. Can't wait to see a big pike or laker circle my minnow one day. Take care

Thames is the worst. Never caught 1 fish trolling through there. If you can get out into the lake then you got a chance. Only got out into the the lake once out of about 6 times as it was way too windy everytime. I just may have crappy luck, but I'm done with St.Clair.

Thanks for the report Bill

You’re going to get a real big one eventually Bill at your pace. Just keep at it. She’s out there you just haven’t crossed paths yet.

Anybody mention the Banjo Minnow or Helicopter Lure yet

It's beautiful up there that's why I'm moving up there in 3 weeks. Maybe I'll see you around neighbour.

There’s a launch at Port Severn beach and park. It’s right off the 400 across from the church. You may have to get a second mortgage cause it’s pretty expensive. Gold coloured Williams Wobbler will get you on the dink pike. I would focus on the north end near the mouth of Glochester Pool to get on some bigger ones. Good luck
