  2. k time to recap from the Niagara Fishing Tackle Swap that was held this past weekend.
Lots of thank you's coming at ya!
A big thanks to all of our vendors who rented tables.
To our guest speakers who gave great presentations in the seminar room.
    To everyone who attended.
To all our volunteers who planned, organized, set up and clean up afterwards.
To Eden High School, the DSBN & custodians for hosting us.
    Thank you very much everyone!
Congratulations to Donnie Dickson for winning the Ice Fishing package draw. Thank you to Grimsby Tackle for helping us arrange the prizes.
Congratulations to Jim Poling who won the Salmon Charter with Steve Jablonski ( Krazy Kings) & to Darren Baiton who won the Salmon Charter with Shane Thombs ( FINtastic Sportfishing)
We had over 400 paid adult entries at the door.
As some may know, in late Dec, we were saddened to hear of the passing of one of our very dedicated members, Mary Schultz. In Mary's memory, the $2220 raised from admission sales at the Swap has been donated to Start Me Up Niagara
As well throughout the day, additional money was raised for our Kids Day Program through sales of Coffee & Pizza.
Our Youth Tackle Share Program that's run in partnership with many local library branches was also able to raise additional funds through sales of donated Tackle & equipment.
Thank you everyone for your continued support of the St Catharines Game and Fish Association. While we are an outdoors/conservation focused organization, we realize the importance of community and do our best to help others when we can

  3. 2002 Yamaha 9.9, 4 stroke kicker motor

    Model # T9.9ELRA

This is the remote start , high thrust kicker model.

I am the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner of 2 years never used it. I am told the 1st owner didnt use it much either. It is weathered looking and the cowling does have a small crack on the backside.

I bought it in Oct as a winter project but no longer have the time. It came without any controls, cables, etc. So I have not had it running at all. It is not equipped with the hydraulic tilt/trim cylinder either but has functional manual tilt.

I have since bought a new throttle control box, fuel line and cowling gasket. It still needs shift cables and battery lines. Once put together it will certainly serve someone very well.

    Pictures available on request

    Asking $1600 OBO

Local shops like Grimsby Tackle,  Bill's Bait and Peters Tackle will be there as will other small home grown businesses and many other individuals with lots of goodies.

As well as some very good seminars happening every hour.

Every paid entry has a shot at winning one of 2 Lake Ontario Salmon Charters and the St Catharines Game and Fish Association will also be raffling off a nice Ice Fishing Package.

  5. This Summers trip takes our family to the Chapleau area , 2nd week of August.

Will be my first time heading west from Sudbury.

We leave on a Friday morning.. #400 to #17 to Sault St Marie.  Stay the night, then to Wawa then to Chapleau for afternoon check in.

The trip home would be one day. Would like to take #129 from Chapleau to connect back to the #17. Any concerns with this road? Yes we'll have a full tank of gas.

Any  points of interest we should check out? Any shore accessible fishing spots along the way around #17? My son would love the chance at a speckled trout, if possible. You can PM me if you don't want to share publicly .

    Thanks in advance!
