  1. Well that was a fun ride back home! It took us over four hours of driving through hell to get home. White-outs, two conga lines and tons of blowing snow. Well at least we made it back in one piece. I'm dead tired, mainly from running back and forth to my son Alexander's hut to help him with his many fish.

We had a blast today fishing and meeting all the guys that showed up for the GTG. Special thanks to Blair for organizing the event and for meeting up with us yesterday to do some late afternoon perch fishing. Thanks to Chad as well for helping us though out the day.

Hope we can do this again next year!

    Cheers.

I would not have wanted that drive, man I left Blairs shack and he volunteered to drive with us the make sure me and my son go back to the park, good job I had a gps, visibility was maybe 10feet, it came up instantly, we went in the shack to say thanks and then I had the shack door ripped out of my hand with my guess 50kms winds, glad to see you made it home ok :-)

  2. lol so far thats what I done, all my stuff fits in my 2-up seat accept my auger and I just got a holds all I put on the front rack, have to see how that works tommorow, the only annoying thing is my sunflower heater is in 2 pieces to fit in my seat and with my little guy that means more time to set up and more time for him to get colder faster lol

  3. so a quick question, I have done good this year and got myself a bunch of new stuff, truck, trailer, quad, clam yukon that I plan on towing for the first time tommorow but the question is, how do you guys organize all your gear in there without finding that it destroyed itself bouncing around, any pics of your portable flip overs organized, if I was towing it by hand I would not be worrying so much lol

    Thanks

  4. Yup, still there, I cant go the same place a sled does for sure, I have zillas on it so it does pretty good, I would for sure like to go with you guys for the day, keep me posted. What ever happens up there with you guiys, promise I wont tell everyone on the board as soon as I get home lol, I am looking forward to it, I will send you a msg closer to the time to work out details, one one the weekends I will be off for sure, worst comes to work and the snow is deep my father in-law is an awesome guy I could bring him along or borrow his sled :-) by the way those rivets you gave me years ago, I followed your directions on fixing my boat, two owner later and approx 5yrs and its still is going strong

  5. A few quick questions, not looking for you hot spot lol, If I go in the access rd is there anywhere close by for lakers? but the main thing is I will be bringing my atv and flip over is there anywhere thats I should stay away from due to bad ice?

  6. funny enough td was $900 a year cheaper for our two vehicles then state far, we were hit in TO by a guy a few years back and had no issues with our ins company and td never raised there rates after 5 years now and after paying close to 5000 to fix the suv

  7. Maybe its just me or I am cruel hearted, but watch where your walking and dont trip, I do feel sorry for your friend dont get me wrong, but why should they compensate someone for not watching where they walk?

Ok, here is the situation in short form:

A friend went to Talladega for a race. In the stands there is a split in the stairs and a half step. He didn't see the half step, tripped, fell, ended up with 16 stitches in his arm, a lot of pain, and when I looked at the job they did on his arm, a 6 year old could have done better but that is just my opinion.

Several people that witnessed what happened came forward, one of them commented that he had advised the organizers on several occasions that this was a hazard, he also commented that he had seen others fall in this exact same location because of this "half step".

Things are well doccumented c/w photos of the injuries, Talladega have even sent him a letter telling him that they are going to have their clames Dept. contact him and offer him some form of compensation, perhaps even free tickets to another race. Ya right, free tickets to compensate for lost wages (he lost a week of work) his wife had to drive 16 hours straight to get them home because he was in so much pain, they lost their hotel deposit.

I have suggested that they contact a personel injurie lawyer in the U.S. and go after fair and reasonable compensation. So, my questions are:

    Do you think they should?

Is there any law firm in the U.S. that stands out in this kind of case?

They don't have a lot of money but all they want is to get treated fairly.

All help would be most appreciated!

    Cliff
