A great place to try is little Puslinch Lake as well as Big Puslinch Lake. I was out there on Saturday with my husband and there is a good 6 inches of clear ice and another 4 of white ice. and there was a lot of Pike action all day as well as some perch.

Nope that's not the Ganny it Port Hope! Were any of yous there last years during the tail end of the tropial storm? Now that was a rush...try brining in a nice salmon while trying to make sure your chair, cooler, net and tackle box do not blow away.

I will upload pictures later to verify the story, Ok so I told a little white lie my husband just informed me that it was 39 not 40, but I'll still add the picture later. Plus I was just out fishin for the fun of it and was not aware of the derby...sucks to be me I would have loved a new truck, boat and trailer. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Can't wait to get out there this year and show the boys how it's done! SMILES

Ok so yes I am a chick and absolutely love to fish.
Any reports on where the action is best for Salmon fishing? I am from north of Hamilton and normally head out to Port Hope this time of year, which is where I caught my 40 lbd salmon two years ago, and even when the fish aren't bitin....I catch my limit.
Any reports would be really great
Thanks a buch guys

I have read a lot about simcoe's ice fishing. I am from Flamborough and was wondering if any of you could be so kind as to direct me where about to go for the Simcoe ice fishing? Is there a specific park enterance or location to park? I am not familiar with the area at all but reall want to give it a try this year.
