Anyone know if they discontinued the Cumara 7'1" xfast medium action spinning rod?? I bought one at BPS and turns out one of the guides was damaged; took it back to BPS and they said they don't offer that model anymore and I can either get a refund or choose a different model Cumara. Oh yeah, they also suggested I keep the damaged rod they sold me, ship it to Peterborough myself and have them replace it, but I would have to assume any costs incurred. BPS Blows! Now I'm having a hard time finding the Cumara drop shot rod, anyone know what store has em in stock?
Forget the Cumara and spend a little more for a Cumulus or a G Loomis, a little more money for at least twice the rod

I have a 2011 Crestliner CX19, I also purchased a Minnkota Talon to mount on it. The problem I have is that there is no access to the inside of the transom at that point where it needs to be mounted, has any body else ran into this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated

A good way to compare prices is go on to the Auto Trader (Boat Trader) website and browse around.

I found that Gagnons in Oshawa was at least 10 to 20 percent cheaper than Sail on pretty well any thing to do with fishing

Thanks everyone for your replies. I was originally leaning towards the Fortrex, but with all the positives towards the Terrova I think that's the motor for me

I am going to be purchasing a new trolling motor this spring, it is either a Fortrex or a Terrova. I had a Powerdrive a few years back and I didn't like the whining noise when steering. Are the newer ones any better in regards to the noise? The I-pilot makes it more attractive for buying but is it worth it when you take into account the steering whine? Is Motorguide any better? I would really appreciate your opinions.

It's not so much the weight as it is the torque on the transom

I have a few of the Koppers and they look great but I found that the paint chips off fairly easy as compared to all my other lures.

Between the Spring Fishing and Boat Show or the Toronto Sportsmen Show, which of the two would be better for buying fishing gear?

Can any body help me out by letting me know where in the Peterborough area is the best spot to take a motor to have about a 4" piece of the cavitation plate repaired? I don't have any of the pieces that broke off and about half of the trim tab is exposed now.

I am looking to buy a new Trolling Motor and was wondering what your opinions are about adding sonar and auto pilot to it or is it better to keep the sonar completely separate?

Just getting into fishing and I live on the Otonabee just below Peterborough. Any tips or recommendations for bait or lures or hot spots would be greatly appreciated.

Jensen trailers on Bloor St. in Oshawa or if there is Krown Rust Control they could help you out.

Just a note on storage, make sure when you put it in the basement do not place it directly on concrete. Concrete sucks the life out of everything, especially batteries
