  1. Sorry to hear about this...I had a 2005 Yamaha 8hp 4-stroke taken off my boat in the driveway a few years ago and the cops said..." not worth us going to look into it, its probably up in cottage country already"......go figure!
  2. the rubber washer idea is good but the 3M 5200 is excellent as well...I used it to seal some broken welds in the bottom of my boat 7 years ago and never had a leak since!
  3. I use the Abu Garcia C3 with the left hand reel and never had a problem....set your tension with every bait you put on and cast away...the only issue I have is casting into the wind and just adjust less spool tension for that....great reel though!
  4. I think I have done them all....three times forgot to put in the plug and only noticed after I am out on the lake(Ont.) from Fishermans Pier. Twice had the boat float away from the trailer while launching...caught it once by myself and the second time time by a passer by about 1/2 hour later(Bellwood Conservation) in early May on an empty lake. But the best is having to use a 8hp kicker from the blue zone in LakeO. back to Fishermans Pier because I couldn't get the 115 to start....seems I had it in gear......crap happens!!
  5. Tried the same thing at two Hamilton locations and they both said no as the UPC numbers didn't match...oh well.
  6. I have a 8hp 4stroke Merc kicker beside my 115 two stroke Mercury on a 17.5 Fisher, and the added weight is no problem and the savings in fuel alone paid for the motor in two years.
  7. I bought three for my boat last year (one for starting battery and one for each battery for 24 volt trolling motor) and worked a charm. Boat is outside all winter and just checked today and all at 100%. Didn't see any real increase in hydro bill either!
