I'm in shock they let that goal stand. That's a joke any way you slice it.

I went to the Leafs/Sabres game this past Thursday for my brother's bachelor party and it was 3/4 or more leafs fans, it was hilarious talking to Buffalo fans and they all accepted it, but they also appreciated it because of the economic boom each one of those games brings to the area. We booked an air bnb plus whatever money we spent on drinks, tickets etc between 7 guys it was probably 1500-2000 by the time we were back into Canada all said and done.

100% they improved huge. I'm not putting too much stock into this year.... 2 years from now is crunch time imo

Dunno if you've sourced anything, but take a look at this site. They had the best price on per filter when buying a box of 12. And it's a high quality filter. (For me at least) https://www.furnacefilterscanada.com An alternative would be to find a friend/relative who's a sheet metal worker or refrigeration mechanic and see if they can get you a deal through their supplier and just pay them instead. Possibly if you know someone who works for a mechanical company who has a service division also.

The leafs would be silly to move jvr imo. Even if we end up going deep and lose him to free agency. that gives you a measuring stick on the young guys. Ideally we would re-sign him for cheap again, but I'm curious as to his ask. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 7mill plus on a 5+ year term. I like the plekanec pickup, although I'd prefer if they gave up a third instead. Unless they could get a haul like NYR did for Nash I'd be opposed to it, he's great as an own rental. Huge value for the production he puts up

Oh for sure, just funny when it's Sosh for a 4th rounder the 4th rounder is chopped liver, when it's a 7th rounder for Fehr it's all roses and daisies
-
Kinda hilarious the reaction to this trade vs the soshnikov one. Everyone on Twitter was like "oh great a 7th rounder for Fehr! You never know what a 7th rounder can bring!!!" Meanwhile after they traded sosh, "are you ****ing kidding me a 4th rounder for soshnikov OMG!!" Fehr scored 3 goals en route to a cup with the penguins, is a veteran player who can be an everyday NHL player.d Soshnikov on the other hand, had upside but was hurt and scored a grand total of 14 points in 70 games... I'd say they did great getting a 4th rounder for him lol

Scary few minutes there thinking Gardiner had been traded.... He's been solid the last few months, wasn't sure if they'd upped his trade value and shipped him out or what.. One thing is for sure, based on the amount of online flipping out over where he was after taking the first shift of the second then going back into the dressing room, he's better than what he gets credit for and a lot of people would've missed him haha

I don't think it's beyond him to pass 40. He did it in his rookie season... There's so many more lessons to learn in playing individuals as you stay in the league for longer, I think he'll be able to hit 50 in the next 2 years.

I worked at Budds in Hamilton for 3 years and most issues arise with all the high end models with all the bells and whistles, a phrase often heard was it's the best and worst car I've ever owned ? The smart thing to do is lease if you can afford to or able to write off

So how about that dorion extension....? Seems he hasn't really earned 3 more years lol just ask Matt!
-
Yup, I read something to the effect of "our youth watches this!!!' Like really... No one goes to grapes for opinions or education on anything aside from hockey, and even then some of his beliefs make me laugh

Refs definitely left their whistles in their pockets when it came to calls against the bruins tonight... A lot of ignoring interference happening away from the play. Hilarious how don cherry opened up coaches corner with a poke at climate change... Now people are calling for his job ? what a world

I haven't made it in some time, but quinoa burgers are awesome! Toss them in the oven so they don't fall apart and dress them just like a regular burger everyone I've ever made them for loved them

Terribly sad. I met him a few times at some rinks in Oakville and Mississauga, genuine class act he was. The hockey world won't know another like him. One of my old bosses lived in Oakville and one day as he was getting groceries he saw an elderly man with a 2-4 on his cart and offered to lift it into his vehicle for him, as soon as he (Bower) turned around to say thank you that would be great, he was like a little kid seeing santa haha. He came into work and told everyone who was a hockey fan about it for the next week.

Well that was an excellent showing! ?? Not for Carolina

This one's good for a chuckle when I open up the laptop

Except you can't play hockey on it, or have cell phones on you while skating, and it's 5.6 million dollars of taxpayers money ? In other news I'm at the Hamilton bulldogs game and they're running a train on the Saginaw spirit

Lol that's a good one

My nextdoor neighbor was convicted of murder when I was 13, I grew up best friends with his daughter, he was the nicest guy too, used to pick us up from school every day. Turns out he was mixed up with the wrong crowd, stuff to do with drugs he gets parole in 11 years

X4 Unless they retain 80% of his salary ?

And you cannot deny he's right
