  1. 1) You dont have to be in a "bass boat" to do that.... I've been "buzzed" tons of times by tinnies and cruisers. 2) Doesn't even deserve a response.... 3) See response #1 4) Did my wife tell you to write that?! Point is... doesnt matter what type of boat you drive. If you're as behind the wheel... you're an behind the wheel!
  2. Apparently mentioning the names of baits is spamming.... lol I guess the Slammers winning almost every event on the great lakes doesnt give them enough of a rep to mention the name...?
  3. Your best bet on Rice is to locate weedlines and flip/pitch to the edges with jigs, bucktails, and senkos. Also casting cranks along the edges usually picks off the more aggressive fish. Topwater frogs fished over the mats/pads also produces a lot of my biggest fish. If you have any other questions about Rice and locations, shoot me a PM and I'll try and help you out!
  4. This is a very informative thread....apparently: If you own a bass boat... you're an (and deserve to lose your lower unit) If you fish for bass..... you're an If you drive fast........ you're an I guess I'm just an all around then! I'm with ya on that one!
  5. I have one storage compartment that the lock as siezed up, and I'm looking to replace it. Does anyone know where I'd be able to buy a replacement? Same as the ones shown Here Also, someone must have backed into my trailer and broke off the brake light cover on the one side of my trailer. Any ideas (around Oshawa) where I would be able to get a replacement brake light housing? Any help is much appreciated!
  6. Well said Grimsby! I agree that wishing people would hit their lower end is very distasteful.
  7. Clear water = LIGHT lines and finesse baits! Do yourself a favour and pick up some Xzone Slammers and some 6lb Flourocarbon line (if you dont have any), and use a dropshot rig to target smallies. Senko-type baits and shakey heads are also great bets in clear water. Also, be sure to make LONG casts whenever possible. Best of luck out there!
  8. Yuppers! Last weekend! LOL I'm used to using my GoPro's on the boat, but I forgot my laptop to unload the videos from the SD cards, so I wasnt able to use my GoPro's on the Sunday morning. So I grabbed my video camera and tripod and set it up on the back deck. Well... with GoPro's once they are in the mounts, you dont need to move them everytime you move the boat. Apparently a tripod just sitting on the back deck, needs to be removed before gunning it.... LMAO! I heard a thump, looked back to literally see the three tripod legs slowly sinking into Rice Lake!
  9. No Phil, it def wasn't me, as I have respect for ALL other boaters...unlike a lot of other people out there. But... on the note of losing stuff... if anyone hooks into an HD JVC video camera ON a tripod on Rice Lake, please return it to me! LMAO! Thanks, I appreciate that!
  10. The 9.6 was from Florida... 6.4 is my biggest LM up here, and 6.2 is my biggest SM. That's what she said!
  11. It's still a baby compared to my overall PB of 9.6lbs, but don't think I'll be matching that up here anytime soon! Lol Fish was (surprisingly) only 22" long but had quite the set of shoulders on it!
  12. LMAO! Thanks everyone!
  13. Thanks everyone!
  14. They will most likely be best in the fall...
  15. Got out on Rice Lake with my buddy again yesterday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips I've had on Rice! Lots of fish caught... but the reason for my excitement...... Broke my (Canadian) Largemouth Bass PB. My previous Cdn PB was 5.75 LM, but this one weighed in at 6.4lbs!! Got it on a Flipping Jig with an Xzone Chunk Trailer in 8ft of water.
  16. I have two different sizes of them available through TackleStock.com. The smaller size is geared toward panfish and the larger ones for gamefish.
  17. Holy crap, those are some monsters!!! Beauty fish Steve! Congrats on the wins already!
  18. One thing that has worked well for me while in Algonquin is to pre-cook some pasta dishes (Skillet Sensations are my fav) and pour single portions into the vacuum pack bags, seal them shut and freeze them. When ready to eat, just have a pot of water boiling and throw them in for a few mins to heat them up. Cut off the top and enjoy straight out of the bag! I'm actually headed to Algonquin from Sat-Wed on another interior trip! Can't wait!!
  19. Great story for sure! You're a role model for us all! Look at the good side of being in Brighton though... you're very close to Quinte for the fall/winter MONSTERS!
  20. My buddy just said "hell, I can make one of those with a PVC pipe". I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with! lol
  21. Not sure if this has already been posted or not... but I came across this and thought it was pretty cool! TrollPro.com - Underwater Trolling Housing for GoPro
