I fished Red Lake from 6-01 to 6-09. The area had a lot of rain and the lake was up three feet. Also the high water caused a lot of floating wood so be on the look out.
Dispite the high water and wet weather the fishing was good with a lot of slot fish being caught.
Walleyes went on jigs, spinners and crawlers in twelve foot of water. Northerns were slow with the best luck on soft baits fished very slowly.
Here are a couple snelling tool that may help. Du-Bro kwik tie hook sneller #1116 and Rudy Masson's hook snelling tool.
Do a search for the produce information.
If you have loose rivits get a rivit set and peen the rivits tight. A little clear silicone rubber will also help seal the rivits. Make sure the area to be sealed is clean before sealent is added.
If it is a crack it can be welded.
<BTW> with the boat on the trailer add some water and mark the spots that are leaking. This works well for finding small leaks.
Thanks a lot for the info.
I am planning a trip to Red in June and have a paper map on order. After vewing the map I will see if it is worth the $149 US for the digital map.
Man that is a deep lake; I hope my sounder is good enough to read that deep. :-)
