What is the shaft length on your motor?
Bridgeview marine in BC gets lease returns all the time from their lodge clients.
They currently have 2 150hp Verados for $6K each but they are 25" XL motors.
OH, and don't worry about getting it out to you.
I bought my new 115 4 stroke from them and they shipped it to me.
Cost $700 for shipping but I still saved over $3K if I bought locally.
Mine is a 20 inch shaft unfortunately, but I do have a jackplate on it.

Holy crap what would a new motor cost? Cant be that much more, no?
Brand New Optimaxes look like theyre around 20,000
-
Sorry let me correct myself 5 of the 6 cylinders were at 90 psi the other one was at 70. I wish I could get that 250 pro XS for that price but my boat is only rated for 200hp.
-
Well this season I noticed my boat running slower and harder starting than in years past. So sure enough I take it to the shop and its got 70 psi in one cylinder and 90 in all of the others. My mechanic tells me they are all pretty worn and obviously the 1 at 70 needs fixing. Its a 1999 200 hp mercury optimax and he quoted me at 9000$ to have it completly rebuilt. To me that seems a bit high, although I don't know too much about the price of rebuilding. Can anyone chime in? or maybe give me some other suggestions or people that do it cheaper? Or am I looking at spending that much wherever I go fora rebuild?

And here it is coming up again in Timmins
-
Was $1.33 up here for years, going to enjoy it while it lasts, helps to offset other expenses, surprised at Timmins price
Timmins is almost always higher than anywhere around here. There is a lot of price fixing going on in this town, there is never one gas station cheaper than the other and they all drop their prices within an hour of each other when they do drop. A couple of years ago there was even an "investigation" by police about price fixing, but of course nothing would come from that.

99.9 all over in Timmins,ON price fixing at its absolute finest!

Wowa we wa!!!! Them der is some mighty fine goldies. I count 5 guys maybe 6, is that 17'Lund a little crowed. My eyes aren't what they used to be. I want to see the elbows tucked in a bit when taking a fish pic. No one missed a meal I presume.
Hey Wormy Dunker, do I smell a road trip in our future? Your truck my boat. As long as that 150 can get there and back in 1 piece! Na, thinking about it better take the Silverado.
Those were walleye caught throughout the season! I rarely have more than 3 people on my boat at a time unless I'm guiding. Its a 19 foot tracker, not a lund!, and a lot of those eyes were released for another day! Nothing over 20" is kept in my boat in our area unless its going on the wall.

Oh yes Foleyet and Chapleau what a great area to explore I have been fishing that neck of the woods since 2004
whether it be a fly in or just fishing many of the lakes off of the logging roads the fishing has always been great you are a lucky man Tayzak to be surrounded by so many lakes and rivers that offer up some awesome fishing with that being said thanks for the report and photos looks like you and your buds had a great 2015 season if I ever decide to fish Horwood maybe I can hit you up for guide services.
Cheers Mitch
Absolutely I can show you around the lake. I do a little bit of guiding throughout the summer as well.

Some nice "pick eyes" ,was definitely a good year for you and your buds .
Cheers to the fellow Green Bay fan as well
That Packers fan is me! tough loss Saturday, but need to be proud of the team how they fought in the playoffs with quite literally no receivers left for Rodgers to throw to.

Awesome! I love Horwood Lake I haven't been there in years the fishing was always great, I see you were running inline planer boards are you catching those fish over deep water and the fish are suspended or fishing structure?
A little mix of both, we usually had to experiment a bit each say sometimes they'd be hanging tight to bottom on structure while others they were suspended in the water column. Some of these were caught running crankbaits only 5 feet down over 30-40 ft of water.

Been a long time since I've posted on here! been very busy, but since I had some spare time today I decided to make a quick recap of our 2015 Walleye season and what a season it was! We had our best season yet for big quality Walleye.Fall was definitely the best time of the season for the big girls almost exclusively pulling crankbaits. The majority of these were caught on Horwood with the biggest being a giant 32" 13lb caught in mid October on a size 11 Berkley Flicker minnow! I apologize for the brief summary. I'll let you guys enjoy the photos instead. If anybody has questions about the walleye fishing on the bigger lakes up in this area I'd love to answer/help you guys out. Enjoy!

From Timmins, and was just driving around the area this evening. Still ice on the lakes but should be gone by the end of the first week in May.

Thanks Folks!

Well I haven't been very active on here in a long time so I figured my first post back here would be a very quick recap of my 2014 season which was my best yet. I'm going to keep it very short and just share the photos. Lots of big walleye were caught this season, I fished mostly Horwood and Ivanhoe with a couple trips to Kenogamissi. Near the end of the summer I decided to upgrade from my 14 ft lund fury to a 18 ft Tracker Targa 1900 which will help me out next season when I join the Walleye Trail. Here are some pics to sum up this year. For anybody that want's info on fishing around Timmins feel free to post here or message me and I can help out as much as I can!!

Nope not a dealer, didn't know that law applied to leeches thought it was only minnows. How great that another useless law impacts us. There should never be an issue with keeping as many leeches as you want at long as they're going to be used.
-
Hey guys would any of you know of a place (preferably in Ontario) where I can order leeches by the pound online?
-
screen size, better transducer on the 998, easier to see in the sun, more visible when running split screen and now it also has the autochart support!
-
I bought a 598 last June and already upgrade to a 998 by the beginning of this season so if that helps at all?
-
Is there anybody that knows of anybody that sells worms in bulk in Canada preferably in Ontario that ships them out? looking to buy 500-1000 at a time
-
Awh I didn't know dude perfect did one. Those guys are great!

1.459 in timmins tonight

Timmins was at 1.43 a little over a week ago, there is now a police investigation into price fixing between the gas companies up here funny that as soon as the investigation was announced every gas company in town dropped their price to 1.39...
