  1. Just a note about Marcums. I brought out my LX-5 today after not touching it since last season. Bought it last winter and only managed to use it once or twice. The unit was put away with 60% battery life still. There is a little screen attached to the battery that tells you how much battery life there is left. Plugged it in to charge and started saying charging 30%. This confused me since it had said it still had 60% life. Shot an email off to Marcum customer service and had a detailed reply specifically answering my questions in less than 10 minutes. Got it all figured out and the unit is working as it should. Great customer service, IMO.

You should never leave the digital battery charge system plugged in during storage. That little screen can/will drain the battery. Lead acid batteries should always be stored fully charged. All wires connected to the battery should be disconnected for storage. I've heard one to many stories of guys killing batteries that way.

I own an LX5 as well and its definatly the way to go. My buddy bought an FL-20 around the same time and we got to fish side by side most of the season, both great units but I love my marcum! This years LX5 are pumping out 2500watts (500 more watts than previous years) Love the adjustable zoom and the crisp clear display. Can't imagine fishing without it!

  2. I fish this strech all the time. Plenty of bass and musky. Most of the bass are on the smaller side but theirs plenty of them, the muskies on the other hand can get to around 20 lbs. Caught one around that size 2 years ago below bronson bridge. They are really hard to catch though as they get pressured pretty heavily. Ive also seen very large carp below the bridge, but ive never really fished for them. Walleye are also abundant in some of the pools as well apparently although I have yet to every catch on yet.

  3. T'was a nice morning indeed. Drove down from Ottawa to fish for a couple hours. Managed to catch one on my new pin which made the trip worthwhile. Drove 6 hours, fished 6 hours lol I couldn't believe how cold it was. My guides and float where freezing up! Definetly wasn't expecting that!

  4. I'm interested in seeing who is going to be in GSP's corner. GSP has been training with Renzo Gracie in NY for his past couple fights and John Danaher, one of Renzo's top instructors at the main school in NY, has been in his corner. Matt Serra happens to be a Renzo Gracie Balck Belt, I'm curious to see whats going to happen.
