  1. A few co-workers and I will be going fishing in the near future and I was wondering if anyone could tell me of some good shore fishing spots that would test their skills, help them learn and offer some fish to catch. Trout, walleye, panfish etc is what we'll be going for. I would like to take them about 2 hrs north of Toronto. Their skill level is basic and I will try bringing them to the waters I know but any other suggestion would be appreciated. PM me if you want. Thanks.....Also If you guys can suggest a good rod reel combo for them that can be used on multi species that won't break the bank, that would be great. Thanks in advance

  2. I might be going up to Bancroft area on Monday for some ice fishing....if you want we could meet up there and see if we can get anything. I'll let you know

For nearly a year OFC has been part of my morning routine, make some coffee read some fishing reports. After a week of inspiration I would get on the phone and TRY to get some buddies out on the water but this seems harder then catching fish. I didn't realize that marriage meant no fishing.

This morning I called one of my last buddies that "is allowed to fish" and receive the devastating info; job transfer to Ottawa moving at the end of the month!

Is OFC a dating site for fisherman?

I'm 37 live in Mississauga, fishng for nearly 20 years,I have a little 17ft/50hp that I like to take up to Simcoe, BOQ,Georgian or troll around Port Credit.

During the week I run my anodizing/paint shop near the airport so I don't have that much free time I tend to only get out on sat/sun.

I hope to contribute a bit more to the board and get to know some of the regulars. Hope to find a few guys to split gas and beer for the day.(not that I drink on the boat)

  3. Tried for some perch today and the ice was good and the bite was on.........get out if you can before things get sloppy and dangerous. Was in about 25 feet with jigging shad rap and a bit of white tube on the bottom treble - deadly!

  4. thanks

My buddy owns Jack Lake trailer park and I was talking to him a week or so ago and he said there were guys walking across it so I'm going to say that it is safe for walking. As for crappies......I know in the summer we fish for them fairly close to the trailer park. If you're facing the park from the ice you'll see a small canal about 100m or so to your left (left of the only cottage there).....head down the canal maybe 50m or so and try a pink micro tube......that's what we use in the summer.

    hope this helps.

  5. Hey guys, I am considering taking these courses full time and was wondering if anyone could suggest good schools/training programs that don't run for just 2 or 3 days and cover just the advanced topics. I would be looking for full time courses or condensed courses that cover all bases from basic to advanced. I've done some research but just don't know which are the better programs/schools out there. Also, any good books that you can think of would be most helpful as well. Thanks for any help.
