Thanks, but wrong fox island. My bad maybe, I think they refer to “the foxes” as the group of islands due east of the town of Killarney. BUT, I’m glad you pointed out the Fox island in the French river delta. Looks great too! Thanks for the tips, i definitely want to check it out. And the Bustard islands too. Looks like Key Harbour is the best for this access also

One other source of confusion may be that Fox Island is also in the Municipality of Killarney.

    Lol

  2. Ok.. that boat will definitely get you there, even in some choppy weather.

Have you considered where to launch? Key River is pretty much best/easiest way to get there. A straight run out and a right turn into Fox Island.

I've been out there in some small boats, but it was weather dependent. LOL.  I've also been out there in larger boats that were better in rough weather.

Never actually camped out there. I would always camp closer to Key Harbour.

The small craft route is marked with bouys/markers right to south end of island and continues further west. No problem getting out there.. just when you venture out of marked channel.

  3. It's been many, many years since I fished Pigeon Lake. The last time I was on the lake was an annual Ice Fishing fund raiser. It was held the last weekend of April yearly and there was still 3' of ice. Pickup trucks driving everywhere.

As far as Rocky Mountains... good luck. I don't recall being able to see them from anywhere in Leduc area, Edmonton either.

West Edmonton Mall is actually quite a tourist attraction.

Edit to add: just ckecked some old pictures... no mountains visible form there.

Check Google maps... some fella has 360° picture... oh ya all ice covered. Lol . Just like the last time I was there on the Last weekend of April.

  4. It actually all hinges on BTU output.

Orifice is according to supply pressure required for specified BTU output.

    Manufacturer's spec's should be followed.

I've been involved with TSSA... on natural/propane gas issues.. not nice.

Having said that.... there's lots of stuff that is done and works fine.

There's maybe someone at south end of your building.... some get service done by you.

    Check manufacture spec's.

    That's my (official) stance.

  5. Well, I think over the years of no problems with my Bell service, I'm begining to understand why people are having problems with thier service.

Those that have problems, may be self generated. Just my opinion.

When I get off a plane and my phone is the only one with service, out of six people, how can I complain?

    That's what I pay for.

    Free phone upgrades, etc., etc..

The package I have cannot be matched by any competitor (data plan, etc.). Bell customer rep. recently told me it was the longest customer he had ever seen.

What my basis for using Bell Mobility was originally based on was, area of service. Who can match that, even today?

Don't even bother to tell me, because my phone has been a "go to" in places most of you don't.

  6. Not sure why some-one wouldn't report accident to police and insurance company within a day or so. Well, actually I do know.

I have had several things over the years happen, I love Insurance! It's a peace of mind thingy and I don't have to deal with other party.

The last one was some-one hit my rear bumper. My son reported it and that was it. No cost to me. Car fixed within a week and no communication from the people that did it. Well, there was some calls recieved by me, turns out the other person wanted to pay cash.guess why? Not my problem.

Cliff, I've been where you are, but only once.

I backed up and dinged someone's car, what a hassel. Never again! Here's my insurance, where's yours?

I even carry 1 million $ personal liability insurance for anything I'm in care or control of, $100/year, great peace of mind. Ooops, Sorry!

It all gets fixed and everyone is happy.

Forget Harrasement, go for Restraining Order.

  7. $10 was well worth the time and experience. The feller gave us quite a history lesson and we were at the table next to him, so throughout the evening we had a great conversation, he has a wealth of knowledge. Hahaha

Rented RV's from same place. Very glad we took the "All In" (that's what I call it) package.

I was driving and took out the windshield. I mean it was no tiny stone chip, glass ended up on the dash.

Upon turning the RV's in, not one word said about windshield (well not about extra cost anyway). Hahaha.

Next time I would take the truck and slide in camper, a lot less noise while driving, you just have to pick up everything once you stop for the day. Hehehe

A fella next to us at Gold Rush Campground rolled in and was wondering what it was going to cost him for a cracked winshield, mileage, etc., etc.. He had rented from another company and they didn't offer some of the features that we got.

Took out the windshield on what was supposed to be one of the better roads, between Dawson and Whitehorse.

Trivia; One cannot purchase glass coverage insurance for thier vehicle in the Yukon.

We walked through a parking lot in Whitehorse and counted 8 out of 10 vehicles with cracked windshields.

  8. Great Trip! See any Grizzly's?

Yes, sign of them everywhere. The pictures didn't make it into video.

Was that Doyle Brunson at the beginning

No, but he may have been in Dawson City at Diamond Tooth Gerties. The only Cowboy Hat wearing people in video, were Ian Tyson and Corb Lund.

  9. It certainly was! Everyone that we met on the Dempster (very few, but surprisingly someone was always coming along) they were prepared not to get to their destination of choice. Hahaha. One of the reasons we chose to rent RVs vs just trucks. Only a $100 more for RV.

The colours in the Fall are only available for about 4 days, we hit it just right. More good luck than good management. Hehehe.

  10. I was afraid someone might ask. Hahaha. I'll post it once I find it again.

"You must have an authorization or licence issued from the local ministry office to conduct dog training and field trials on game mammals and game birds during the closed season, or an appropriate hunting licence during the open season."

I guess it's best if there is no training involved. Hahaha
