  5. NorthernPike thanks for the heads up, I have a ST CROIX 9' spinning rod, all my other gear is for fly fishing so hopefully that will do. I will pick a few cleo's before hand. again thanks for the info looking forward trying to catch my first Canadian Salmon.

  9. Hello Folks just thought I would take a minute to introduce myself to you all on OFC. I am new to Canada, moved to Burlington, Ontario last year from Scotland and must say I love this place. I am just finding my feet here at the moment with the fishing thing, back in Scotland the only fishing I done was fly fishing(trout) and I love it.       Any river that flows into lake ontairo . Check the regs carefully as there are some tricksy sections to understand on the rivers.

  10. can anybody recommend a spot to fish that is within a 45 minute drive from Burlington, with the hope of catching some trout. I am new to the area and plan to fish on monday during the day. Also what is the best set up to use. Thanks in advance for any info. forgot to say will be bank fishing with a 9 foot St Croix rod and a spinning reel. My Normal fishing method is fly fishing ,so this is all new to me.

  11. Hello Folk's, just arrived from Scotland setting up home here in Burlington.Normally fly fish back home in UK. Such a variety of fishing here in Ontario, so looking for some tips on where to go and what to fish with ,as this is all new to me.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
