  1. Nice fish Minnow! Those are good table fare slabs you're holding I remember seeing you out there. You were in that spot for a while, think I know why We were out all day chasing a decent size school around and did well too.
  2. Notty is open from the mouth of the Boyne R. to the mouth, excluding all tribs. They will be open on the 26 of April. Also, catch and release only between mouth of the Boyne to the Pine. It's best to read the reg's before you go anywhere, as open seasons vary form trib to trib.
  3. Thanks guys! Yeah, it was a fun day. Sore arms for sure fishindevil, that is one gigantic walleye in your avatar! How much did that weigh?
  4. Sorry for all the posts, newbie to muli-pic postin
  5. Hit two tribs out east. First one had fish the day before, but they must have blown through, so I moved to trib #2 (my fav). I found that the lower end was frozen over, so I spent an hour stomping around, breaking and pushing the ice downstream. At that time my hands and forearms were red and numb, I'm thinking "this will be worth it..... This will be worth it....) Well it was. In four hours, Fisherguy and myself landed close to 20 steelhead, some fresh and some bruisers, 10 - 13 lbs. Roe bags in white and "damn ugly flies" were the presentations of choice. Around 3:30, the water stained right up from run-off and most of the fish blew up into protected stretches fo the river. All fish were released and a couple smiled for photo op's. Take it ease Jon Schwiebert .... Fisherguy with a beauty
  6. Thanks guys! Yeah it's a popular spot, and when the conditions are right, can be fantastic. I'm in for the BOQ trip Grant I'll contact you about it. Jon
  7. Hit a couple of eastern tribs on Tuesday trying to subside my craving for chrome. First trib we stopped at.... totally frozen Another... high and muddy. So we went to a sure fire place and it payed off. morning bite was good, and around 11 am water became too stained and fish shut off. For the day, we landed 4 and lost just as many. It was a great day to be out! Myself with a nice one..
  8. I am not sure of the quality or thickness of the ice, but there were 6-7 people out in front of the trailer park today.
  9. Garv, Nice slabs bro, been a long time. Hope all is well. If your ever over simcoe way give me a ring. Enjoy those fillets Jon Schwiebert
