Thanks Lew ..Lake Erie has been awesome the past 2 years ..this year off Port Maitland Dunnville is going to be even better ..i did over 50 charters on Lake Erie last summer and Limited Out pretty much every trip for Walleye ...looks like Lake Erie Walleye are on the rebound ..with lots of year classes from 2lbs to 12lbs witch is a good to see for years to come ..

we have some die hard fishermen out there... not to mention names Sonny!!! : But the ice still isn't safe really, give it a couple more days guys... The marina is still safe for crappies if you need to get out there. Will keep you updated! Marina fishing Feb 7th

Ice is getting thicker as i speak ....a nice cold night should help the river out good ..water is still flowing at the dam pretty good and water is still dirty so give it a couple more calm cold days and we should be back to chasing Walleye ..ill try to get out on the Main River tomorrow morning and see how conditions are ...Few nice Crappies got pulled out from the Marina today ..ill post some pictures of todays lookout on the grand when i can find my camera cord lol..Fishmaster

Feb 1st ice and walleye report ...well the ice is in great shape with alittle snow cover now ..Last night fishing was awesome lots of walleye being caught and a few Bows ..one guy got a 14.5 lb bow Nice Catch Fishlips.. there was guys that got big numbers of fish yesterday some with 2 fish some with 18 or more .. Fishfarmer how did you do last night ...

Ice is 5" Not much wind SW 10k Buckshots , Rapala Jigs ,Jig a Wopper's , Swidish Pimples tipped with minnows 10 to 13 fow has been good .. 2 minute walk to the fish ...

Takes me 2 1/2 hours to drive to Orilla from Dunnville

4.8lbs there was a 10.5 and 1 over 11lbs caught on the weekend ..

Well the ice was slippery today but still holding in there ..there was a good 5 " still when i walked in tonight from fishing ..walked back in with these boys that had a good night fishing ...there calling for -10 late tonight so things should still be good to go tommrow ..most groups of guys did very well tonight Buck Shots were the hot bait tipped with a couple minnows ..

LOL... yes Rizzo, but they are called Cat Fish... Dunnville puts on a MUD CAT festivle every year!

Haven't seen anyone catching any of those here... only walleye coming through the ice on the river, in the marina are crappies, bass and bluegill

I should have stayed were I was ...It wasgood seeing ya Jeff ..This is the big fish caught today.. Another fine day on the Grand, well for some ...My buddie Chris and I got sunked although lost 1 at the hole ... Lots of others had great luck today ...It was a very busy day on the hard stuff with reports of a 11.5lber caught ! Looking forward to seeing the pic's on that one. .. Not sure the name of the guy that caught this but beauty fish if your on the site say hello .. Remeber guys if your not putting it on the wall please let the big Females go ...they are the future of walleye fishing in the Grand! We all work hard to make fishing like it is for us all.... Those Muskie should eat up a few dinky perch ...you can't always catch Jumbo's but if you only keep Jumbo's all the time they will disappear... big perch spawn big perch dinky perch make for dinky perch ..if Lady Simcoe had a slot say no bigger then 12" you would see many big trophys come outa that lake ..hate to say it but way to many Jumbo's have taken there toll on that lake ..

What a start to hard water fishing ! Lots of walleye caught today of all sizes with some big girls released . Seemed everyone was having good luck today and what a beautiful day for fishing !I even skipped out front for a hour before dark ...and as soon as I dropped the vex in 13 fow spotted fish .it wasn’t long before I had 3 on the ice with the guy beside me leaving before dark with his limit in 30 min . Buck Shots and Rapala Jigs tipped with shinners were the ticket…

Well JMH and his Brother ...the 1st group back in today did well fished from day light to 9:30..way to go guys nice Eye's for 2 1/2 hours of fishing ..

This winter is really begging to suck *ss ..we get a big tease in December with some good ice and clear water all gone after X-Mas ..now all we get is HIGH WINDS , MUDDY WATER ,warm then cold then Warm again and more HIGH WINDS and more MUDDY WATER ...its been a tough winter all around SW Ontario and even up North ..nothing worse then wishing we could go fishing ..so far this winter i have had to canceled 90% of my Niagara River Charter's due to Muddy Water ..if you have booked a Charter with me this winter for the Niagara I'm very sorry the weather is not working on our side ...there is still a few good months of steelheading on the Niagara left so cross your figures and hope for cold and no wind and we will be in action .. ;D Thanks Steve aka Fishmaster
