Its clear to me, but I've been reading the regs for 40 years. To the average joe who fishes once or twice a year its a gong show. I was looking up a lake in zone 15 over the holidays, and it took me an hour to check every thing, every exception, and then double check to make sure the lake was open. Its silly. They need to arrange it by lake, and then list the exceptions for that specific body of water.

Yes, but twice the money, and the same liners. Are they really waterproof?? They dont look like they will stay waterproof forever, like rubbber does.

Holy, that is a crazy heavy sleigh!!

1 pair of merino wool socks in my baffin titans and I've never had cold feet. Always, warm, toasty and dry. 2 pairs, and my feet are cold. You need some room for air in your boots. Too tight, your feet will get cold. Do yourself a favour and get some baffin titans while your shopping for merino wool socks. S.

Damn! Looks like I missed a great day!!! Congrats T. ! S. -
I agree on the pricing for these augers, total rip off, but the electric augers are the way to go. I have had a jiffy for 25 or more years, and I hate using it now. Its a tank. Weighs a ton, and they are messy, but I won't get rid of it just yet. I also have a couple hand augers that i just can't seem to part with. After dealing with Ion's customer service the last couple days, we have discovered i have a dud auger, so they are hooking me up. I will keep ya's posted on its performance. Great customer service anyways, so that's always a good thing. S.

What are you using now? Does it really matter how fast you can drill a hole? I'd like to see this same comparison with an 8" finbore. Were those all 8" augers? They didn't say. I don't care about speed. What I care about is reliability, and being able to drill as many holes as I want. I have a 10" ion that will not drill 20 holes through 16" of ice, so I'm not impressed at all. S.

Cabela's has the re-arm kits on sale right now. Too bad i can't figure out which one I need .....lol S. -
I guess those are rear wheel drive until you lock the fronts in? The skis on the front is a cool idea. In all reality though, that will go almost anywhere you need to go to ice fish 90% of the time, with 4 good tires. The tracks are nice crossing cracks though. I never liked crossing cracks with rubber tires. S.

I've made it part of my launching procedures. I have it on before the boat is even wet. S. -

I have the cabela's model auto inflates. I don't know the exact one, but i wear it all the time now. Like Brian said, many times I've got in the truck to drive home, and still have it on. I don't even notice it. Its comfy, and fits me, and Lori great, and we've even had kids wear them properly and comfortably. This fall i was duck hunting, and accidentally pulled the cord. It inflated, but not fully, for some time. It was a very cold day though (-10 ish), so keep that in mind on cold days. Its slow to inflate fully. It did inflate enough to float a person, but it wasn't fully inflated for about a minute or so. Mine says to replace the cartridge every 2 years. S. -
I think you may be stuck with buying new. You are better off anyways. I also need one. Been looking for sales but havent found any yet lol.....they aren't cheap!!! S.

No, I had to pay twice. The first time I purchased the app it was a lifetime subscription for something like $18. A year later, I had nothing but a welcome screen, and nothing else. So, I paid almost $40 to renew it. In that time, I got the deal on a new card, so that kind of kept me from whining. lol S.

I've experienced both extremes. Once forgot my wallet with my license in it, and the CO said no worries, i will call it in. Great experience, nice guy! I didn't realize I'd forgotten it until I'd ordered my breaky at the timmys drive thru....lol Then last year on the ice, I had the digital copy on my phone, but my phone died, so when he showed up to check, I had no proof of a license. He would not call it in. Said if I didn't show proof, I was getting a $244 fine. He was being a total jerk about it, and I called him out on it, but no way was he calling anything in. He was with 2 more CO's and 2 cops. I logged into my email from Loris phone and all was good. I saves a lot of Bull by just having a hard copy, and your card on you all the time. My card is good for another year, but i will need new hunting/fishing licenses for 2020. S.
