  1. If the fish are there you fish them. I've caught plenty of steelhead that were full of eggs still...not sure why anyone would say they won't hit if they haven't spawned yet. Best time to fish a river is after a rain. That triggers them to run upstream. Its a game of timing though...too fast and muddy and its tough...catch it when levels are on the decline and there is visibility in the water then you are golden.

basically if the rivers become low and very clear and you can see them stacked in pools the chances are they wont, because they can see u and the chances are they have seen everything thrown at them, after a good rain when the water starts to clear is a better bet, or even try later at night in clear water when its quitier u mite get a few to strike.

  2. anyone have a link for the fights? figure i might as well get a couple lined up for tomorow night so im not in a mad rush. I pick bader , leben, cruz

condit,bader,50/50between leben and silva, i think cruz will win but i wont faber to get it back, eathier way its a good card to watch.

  3. I use the 5" leeches, bass love 'em: worth it!

the emerald shinners, black shad, shaky shad and smelts are excellent producers, caught pretty much everything on them, great for steelheading most days aswell, u can fish them anywhich way u want, personally it's all about your presentation.

  4. I'm pretty sure it's been worded the 4th saturday for a few years now hopefully most of the once or twice a year opener fisherman will miss this and wait till the next saturday :whistling:

lets hope so, i doubt it though, it should be good this year, being their coming up later, and it hasn't been warm enough yet

  5. sometimes fluro makes a huge difference, niagara i usually use anywhere from 6 to 10lb fluoro depending on clarity, whirlpool in the spring i use 5 to 8lb, small tribs 3 to 6lb, medium to large rivers 5.6lb to 8lb, in darker water u can get away with 6lb green maxima for a leader.

  6. Hey Court R,

I have not had any luck at the dam area but have had really good luck and consistency up stream towards Brantford.

Been out 4 or 5 times in that area and likely averaging two fish an outting. Rapalas, husky jerks and spoons.

  8. probably one of the worst hut operators i have ever delt with, a few years ago one of my buddies decided to book a weeekend with them so i said sure why not and never again, huts are a piece of crap, the beds broke, the night fish alarm was a santuary bell, plus they were located in the traffic zone a well and the people that run it are retarted and useless.
