  1. Nothing wrong with a St. Croix Premier and although I don't fish specifically for muskie I have a Daiwa Lexa 400HSL with the Power handle for throwing muskie baits for giant pike! Best bang for your buck in a muskie reel!
  2. Have stay at Rob Hyatt's bungalows several times and would highly recommend them! Rob is also a great angler who can provide some great advice as well!
  3. Bait Cloud will be at this Saturday's North GTA Tackle Swap if anyone wants to check them out! 4. I've had quite a few brands of polarized eyewear over the years, Hobies, Bluewaters, Mauis, Oakleys, Costas etc. The best value in quality polarized eyewear that I've worn comes from a Canadian company, Vigor Eyewear. They are available in wide assortment of lenses, the new all-weather rose is what I wear 75% of the time. The lightweight fit is comfortable and many of the models have adjustable nose pieces. For $75 retail a pair, they match well against many glasses that are more than double that cost. If you catch them on sale it's even better! I think that there's a still a day or so available on a coupon code SPRING10 on their website www.vigoreyewear.com that will save you another $10! Not having my eyes fatigued at the end of the day and being able to see fish, structure etc. super important to me, so top quality polarized eyewear are key, never mind the safety factor!
  5. This will be a fun team to watch! Michael Saunders will be a lot better than most people expect him to be. Having Tulo for a full season and healthy should scare more than a few opposition pitchers. And his defence...
  6. It definitely can have applications for ice-fishing and stationary fishing like carp fishing. I'll have to use it a little more before passing judgement.
  7. So happy that I haven't switched mine yet! Kinda of knew that we'd have this kind of spring!
  8. I'll be there with a couple of tables! For some reason my garage never feels any emptier!
  9. Lower Buckhorn in the Kawarthas and Nosbonsing up north!
  10. Only met Kevin a few times, seemed like an awesome guy! My sincere condolences to his family & friends!
  11. Simms has some great sun clothing! Haven't had a chance to check out the Columbia stuff yet, may do so next time I'm in London!
  12. I've owned Cabela's Guide Wear, BPS 100MPH Suit and now wear a Simms Pro Dry Suit! IMO the best rainsuit out there. As a tournament angler we don't get to pick our days and I've been out there in some nasty stuff. Trust me when you're out in that stuff, it's worth every cents!
  13. I've used just about every type of jerkbait on the market and they all catch fish! There are always situations that one works better than another! Often it really comes down to person who is throwing it! I am a big fan of Japanese jerkbaits, all of them Lucky Craft, Megabass, OSP, Jackall and so on. I really like the Lucky Crafts because they have the widest selection of jerkbaits on the market. They have shallow diving, deep diving, extra deep diving, suspending, all sizes and amazing colour patterns. I have used them to win numerous tournaments, both bass & pike events! Since Lucky Crafts arrived in North American, domestic jerkbait have greatly improved but I still believe that I can do more things with Lucky Crafts and catch more fish with them! I truly believe that with this style of bait that you get what you pay for.
  14. WOW, that just looks decadent! Mouthwatering morsels!
  15. She sure is a plump one! Great catch!
  16. A couple of beautiful Simcoe perch! Good job!
  17. Winter Kills are going to major this year because of the severity of the winter! In the Kawarthas, Mitchell's and places like Goose Bay on Sturgeon are going to be hit hard!
  18. Unless I missed something, I'm surprised that no one mentioned Tackle Warehouse! I normally try to support as many local retailers as possible but occasionally you just can't find what you need in stock anywhere. I used them last fall for the first time and was impressed with the speed of the order delivery(2 days) and that there was no duties/taxes/brokerage fees when it arrived.
  19. And the problem is?????
  20. Orchid Thai on Yonge St. is pretty reasonable and food is excellent! Nice atmosphere as well, was just there last night! Chinook is also excellent but a little pricier!
  21. You can't go wrong at Rob Hyatt's! Been there numerous times!
  22. That's pretty cool!
  23. I'm planning on being at the Toronto meeting next Tues. Hopefully we'll see many OFNer's there!
  24. I'd look at the new Lowrance Elite 7HDI beautiful unit with downscan. I do belive Radioworld has them for $700! I'll probably put 2 of these at the front of my boat this year and I drop shot a lot! Dave
  25. Giant Fish! Nice job!
